Lets talk about romance...

my game is better in the summer when i can lure broads to outdoor destinations...hiking, yaking, that type of thing has been my MO and has been successful

on a serious note, romance is doing things on the spur of the moment. Not even material things, just even simple as stopping me from doing the dishes, sweeping me up and carrying me into the bedroom.

The little things mean so much more than the big things. I am very romantic and love to do little things, masages, candle light dinners, little things here and there to show how much i appreciate my s/o

I can tell you what my hubby did for Valentines day last year. He bought 100 red heart mylar balloons, tied choc kisses to the end of each string with a note that says I Love you.

Made my day so, so I made his night!

I have to say that if I am being romantic I expect the same in return. I would be lying if I said I did not expect some sort of romantic enchantment from my partner.

I've gone from being a cold hearted bitch to being caring and seems im better off shutting off all emotion. Why do men prefer the bitch?

I just don't get it at all. The more i give the less i get, so i figure im better off being cold hearted, closed off, don't give a flying fuck kinda chick.. Men don't appreciate a good woman. They want the challenge, the fight, the drama. All of which is not me, so i honestly feel better off with out it.

No, that's not what I was getting at.

Of course, I want to be treated just like I treat someone. That's common sense.

When I do something for someone, I don't expect him to do something immediately after to "pay me back". There is nothing wrong with giving.

I've never been into any of that and the type of men I date aren't into that either. I guess its nice, but it isn't me. Its the little things, like having warm bottles of water at his house because I don't like cold water. Stuff like that.

That's good. Watch the argument about money . . . you may find yourself justifying the mother in-law as a babysitter and not even know it. And then, what are you going to do?? ;)

As said above romance is not one thing it is a number of things done at random times with her feelings in mind. I like to pay attention to her and show that I listen and care about her happiness.

For instance, for VT day she has a nick name for me, so i went to build a bear and made a bear that had significant meaning to that.

I dont think romance is suppose to be done on VT day it can be done at any time and that is what makes it more special. Which is why Sunday will be a day she will not soon forget, gotta keep them guessing fellas :)
 
romance is about how you make her feel, and isnt (neccessarily) all that soppy flowery resteraunty crap most people think it is. its about understanding her, and doing those subtle things that are important to her, whether she is concious of it or no.

i can be a bit of a romantic. its cute :)

My husband has made it clear that he doesn't consider me romatic enough, and I confess that I'm not very good at it. I can be flirtatious, but romance is ... ummm, not my milieu, shall we say.

My idea of being romantic with him is grinning at him and saying, "wanna do it?" Apparently this approach leaves him cold. This worked great when we were dating, but leaves something to be desired at the 12+ year mark ...

He has yet to figure out that if he tells me my arms look bigger and bites me on the neck I'm wet.

I feel loved mostly when he does little things that make me smile and makes me excited to come home to him.

I consider little things to be romantic- cards, thoughtfulness, an unexpected compliment or much needed gesture. even a little gift here and there- not necessarily expensive things, just things to say you care.

in that respect, i'm fairly romantic, but not in the grander way.
