legs/arms vs back/shoulders

I have been working out 6 days a weeks for 8-9 months. And eating a totally clean diet for the past 4 months, with one cheat meal a week. I am 3-4 weeks into a var cycle, and has some strength gain questions for y'all. I have literally tripled the amount of weight that I use on all of my leg exercises. Lots of improvment on biceps and tricep exercises too... But in 6 months, shoulder exercises are STILL torture- I havent increased my weight at all! I change my workouts every month or so, and alternate how often/how intense I work them.

I know legs are the easiest to train, and the quickest to show results... But does anyone else have problems training shoulders? Or any certain muscle groups? Are some things just more diffucult based on your individual body? Or is there anything else I can be doing?

What are you doing to train your shoulders? That would proably be helpful

yep...give delt routine.....

it should incluse:

a pressing movement
a lateral movement
and a pulling movement

For shoulders I usually do a 3 sets of lateral raises. 3 sets overhead press, 3 sets 'arnold' press (overhead press with rotatation on the way down, and bring elbows together...) Pull ups...Each set, go up in weight and down in reps.

What is the order, weight, sets, reps for these exercises?

When do you train shoulders? Is it at the end of the week when all your muscle are tired and your body is craving a rest day? I always put my weakest movements at the beginning of the workout week. When I am rested, I can focus more on the weak areas.

Traingin 6x per week isn't a good idea - I think you would be better off lifting 3-4 times a week. Growth and strength happen when RESTING, not in the gym.

IMO, pullups aren't REALLY a shoulder workout - they are better suited for BACK day.

^^What she said.

I would add that I train 5x per week...but one bodyoart per day,....with limited sets and I get stronger and gain size workout to workout,...but the key is "limited sets"

and - btw - do the Arnold Presses OR overhead press but not BOTh as they are a bit redundant
