leg pains during cardio on var...

Harder N Leaner

Plat Hero
Platinum
just started week 4 of var at 40mg ed. Ive been running 2 miles a day for the past 3 months. The last couple days running, I could barely make it past 1 mile due to the shin tightness. Is this common? any advice is appreciated!

Dont quote me, but I think var is known for drying out the joints. I know some guys that do low doses of deca to keep the joints nice and lubed. I know someone personally who is taking high doses of anavar and had dry joints and did deca once a week at low doses and the joint problem cleared right up.

Anavar WILL NOT dry out your joints, winny is notorious for that but not var.

Firesprink, don't stress it bro, the tightness is just a muscle pump because of the high red blood cell count, I get it all the time.

The only way anyone could get joint soreness from var is if their estradiol level drops far below normal because they're not runing any AAS that will aromatize, although it is uncommon for people to have a problem, usually it takes a long time for symptoms to start.

No, no, no. Var likely is not the problem. Do not worry about the var. It may even help this go away. How long (months?) have you been doing cardio? Is it your first time to jog as an adult? I had the same problem when I started. Most heavy people do. The old shin splint. Is it sore after running or only during? If sore after you must lay off for a week or two. Then start up again. When it gets sore take another break. It will stop in a few months. I don't get them much anymore but it took a while.

Dude I was wondering the same thing. The only difference is that it wasn't pertaining to var, but eq. I'm currently in wk 3 of a test e(500mg/wk) and eq(600 mg/wk) cycle. The past few days, everytime I do cardio I get this crazy tightening in my calves. Just wondering if that could be a pump or what? It has only started to happen in the past week or so. Thanks for the help.

If its shinsplits, then its probably lactic acid in your legs pumping you out. If anything, you should probably use tiger balm and rub it on your shins prior to running, and stretch a lot (prior).

It certainly could just be the pump. Keep it up for awhile and see what happens. If you are heavy the cardio can really add to calve development.

running two miles a day is a shure fire way to keep your legs small!!! i don't know what your goals are but you will never see a hardcore bodybuilder or any bodybuilder for that matter actually run....it eats muscle!! ride a stationary bike, stairmill, eliptical!!

running is HARD on the legs if you area big guy like me

I get that same shin pump too, and also in the low back. Happens when I'm on Clen or Anti e's. I've got some var I'm going to run by itself so I'll report back if that gets me too.

I think that depends on genetics. I agree with you some people cant get big legs by running a lot, but I know some soccer players who have only ever run on their legs, never trained them with weights, and they are quite muscular for their overall size.

Oh yeah, and Var makes my legs cramp also. Not the shins, the calfs and quads.
