Late Night Eating??

I use to have that problem, but my goal supercedes my cravings, plus, i've noticed a HUGE difference from not eating atleast 5-6 hours before bed.

You know what you should do? As soon as you work out at night, come home, drink ya shake, and take about 2.5 mg of Xanax and pass the fuck out, gaurantee you won't eat at night cuz you'll be sound asleep :)

I'm wondering if any of you go through the same thing and if so, what do you do? Do you just fight it and drink a big glass of water and go to bed, or do you have a recipe that is healthy and low calorie that subdues the cravings?

I have an ON casein shake and a little ANPB before bed, sometimes a bit earlier if I find myself craving snacks. About 300 cals total and it keeps me full until breakfast.
 
This is my late night snack, always curbs my hunger. I usually eat it around 11-11:30 and I am usually up til 2am.

Give it a try if it fits your diet.

I either have some 1% fat cottage cheese with chocolate whey, or with SF/FF jello mix in a fruit flavor.
 
For the longest time I would use cottage cheese, sprinkle on some flax meal, and then sprinkle on whatever flavored jello mix(sugar free) I felt like that night. Orange is really good, cherry is also. Mix it up, and really helps if you hate the taste of cottage cheese.
 
Seriously, who cares if it's before bed, in bed, at 2am????? You are a bodybuildier, you need to pack on mass, feed the body!!! I have a HUGE shake, some peanuts, some almonds, some cottage cheese, all like 5 minutes before bed. My bro, who competes, use dto wake up at midnight and eat a myoplex carb sense bar then go right back to bed. It's all good.

I agree...when bulking, I keep a shake ready made in the fridge. If I wake up for any reason(not purposely), I down this shake and go back to sleep. It normally consists of a high quality protein with heavy cream.

Sometimes I will have my favorite, a piece of whole grain toast, spread peanut butter on it while hot so it melts, and sprinkle whey protein on top.
 
prebed I've been having cottage cheese and ANPB/almond butter before bed to whatever calroies I have left set for the day.
 
i've been bad all week... been eating garbage after i get home from work at midnight...

just had 2 slices at 1AM tonight...

oh well, fuck it, this week is about in the books, and i can get back on the wagon next week...

not sure if it's the culprit, but my workouts have been lackluster so far this week... i'm willing to bet the crap i've been eating late at night is what is the cause... i'll test my hypothesis next week...
 
like others have mentioned, ive had success with some ON casein with a scoop of anpb right before bed. if i wake up in the middle of the night, usually to piss, ill grab a handful of almonds or a slice of wheat. a lil something something to last me til morning.
