Overrated? Next season, he will be the NBA's all time leading scorer. Hmmm.
His former teammate is the NBA's all time leading assist and steals king. 3/4 of those assists were to Karl Malone. The man was a machine in his prime and he's the prime reason that Tim Duncan is playing like shit. Malone is muscling him on the inside and causing him to fall down and Duncan keeps trying to back Malone down and he can't do it.

Karl Malone will not touch the all time scoring record. He's nearly 2,000 pts shy and has 1 season left in him at best.

Apparently you haven't seen dude play lately. He has the shooting touch of Shrek and couldn't break the scoring record if you put him on the court alone for 48 minutes.

He would have broken it had he stayed in Utah because it was him team. LA doesn't need him to score more than 10 a game.

He needs 1460 pts. to break the record. He averaged over 13 pts a game this year with the Lakers. At that pace, he'll get around 1200 pts next season. If he played for another team, he would break the record. I think he will break it. The man is still in great physical condition. Noone works harder than Malone in the offseason. And BTW, he shot right at 50% for the season. That's way better than the average forward in the NBA and also better than most centers.

If Karl comes back and they kick Gary Payton to the curb he might do it. Payton is the biggest crybaby in the conference.

Agree with that on both points.
