My opinion is it might be anxiety and reason she wakes up upset is because shes scared... (subcious is a scary thing.. we don't always know what is going on)
Sometimes when you take antidepresants when your not depressed they make the issue worse.
Anxiety/ panic attacks can scare the hell outta even the strongest of people and waiting for the next one to come is sometimes harder than when it is actually happening.
There is something called lorazepam/ ativan - anti anxiety medication that can be taken to help relive anxiety.. and doesn't really alter you over all mood.. just relaxes you.. if taken before bed.. something to ask the doctor about.
