Lactose free protein bars?

Super Dave

New member
Anyone know if they exist? Sometimes a bar feels a little more substantial in your stomach, but the gas isn't quite worth it.

I use the worldwide sport nutrition pure protein bar, checked the back for content listing and don’t see Lactose. It’s a low carb high protein. I get mine from
http://www.dpsnutrition.com/default.asp
They have really reasonable prices

6g Total fat(3.5 as saturated)
5mg cholest
80 mg sodium
100mg potass
Total carbs 9g
Protein 33g

Those are the primary if you check out the site they give you additional info on the bar.
I do the peanut butter and suffer no gas, however Whey shakes don’t give me gas either.
You can get these by the box, you might hit GNC (I think they carry these) that would give you an opportunity to try before you invest and see what works best for you.

Just because the ingredients list on the supplement does not mention lactose is not an indicator the product does not contain lactose. If it has any milk derived protein in it, then I can almost positively say it has lactose. Their should be more with whey protein, especially concentrate--I would assume.

what about casien free? Have you tried those? Designer whey makes one (all their bars)

But try chewing a couple papaya enzymes with it, it'll eliminate the gas/bloating. The reason you have that problem is because the protein is fermenting in your intestines without any enzymes to break it down since the bars are so processed.
