:lmao: I have BOTH lol But I've never worn the BEBE to the gym lol :)

I love my UA too :) I like the loose fitting UA shirts for guys and have been told that the shorts are very comf. as well.

*edit* What the h3ll am I talking about lol, I do agree it shouldn't be worn for ocassions not related to sports/training though, just looks very silly .

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against BEBE or bebe sport - I think it was FFQuads bashing it in the women's forum so I couldn't resist...

I have a UA shirt that I love to run in (well... I *walk* now, but...). It has those mitten sleeves that you fold over your fingers... instead of wearing gloves. It rocks!

My dear....you have the wrong guy. I have not "bashed" anything in that forum..........yet...:verygood:

BiggT -
You should see what I wear when I ride my bike. I bet I get a lot of laughs from people passing by. I mean come on......."What the fuck is that 5 ft. 400 lbs. guy think he's doing". "He sure does not look like he should be on a road bike"......:worried:

women feel free to to wear tight, revealing outfits when training.. nothing wrong with being able to lip read when a chick's doing back raises.

UA on the '06 equavlent of zubaz, otomix and a fanny pack. One fella I like to call Long John silver rocks the UA along with a goatee, bandanna and big hoop earings.. I make sure to let off an ahoy matey and a few arrrrrrrs when I see him

i done gone and missed the UA boat.

i think i'll just stay here. stay as long as i can. don't i ever say that.

How did that workout feel T? Is it unsatisfying?

It's very unsatisfying. I had a hard time justifying my typical post-workout pigout, but managed anyway, lol.

I just need to think of the consequences of NOT doing this (which I have been stupid/stubborn enough to do in the past). They're becoming overtrained and needing a lot more than a week of light lifting to fix it, insomnia, zero sex drive, getting sick/hurt, and becoming a general asshole to be around, lol.......so I just need to suck it up for the rest of the week.

Today, I'm going swimming, which I suck at. A friend was a D 1 college swimmer and she is going to teach me how to do the butterfly today, lol, it always fascinated me, but I could never figure out how the hell to do it.

I never trained for the butterfly but it is by far the hardest form to do. Your back is never going to allow you to do that stroke. You are 2 BIG. I bet you try it a couple of times, sink to the bottom, some how find your way to the top and out of the pool, and the next thing your know...........that little swimmer friend of yours is getting the REAL "teachings".......

How much candy did you put down yesterday bro? and doesnt going to subwayt every day get damn expensive? U live solo?

Jeff, believe it or not, I had no candy, lol. I got out of the gym, made dinner, showered, and before I knew it, it was time to go to bed.

Going out to lunch is expensive. I'm single and don't have kids, so I am only responsible for myself, and at work, parking used to be $55 a month, but the place bought the parking lot and now it's free, so that went to the lunch fund.....I probably go out 3 times a week....it is an expensive habbit though, but I don't really go out to bars and booze on weekends anymore, so it all evens out I guess.

I prefer the pre-bed snack, and actually look forward to it.....time just didn't allow for it, lol, unless I wanted to stay up extra late.

Ah, the old "get more sleep" or "eat more food" conundrum. Which is better overall? LoL I find myself needing to hit the sack but then spending 20 minutes fiddling around w/ food, and then not being able to fall asleep right away b/c my body's busy digesting all the crap I jam down my gullet.

how'd the swimmin' go?

Hey sweetie. I am a fairly crappy swimmer to say the least, lol. In order to learn butterfly, I'd have to break it down into phases and do various drills, lol. It was fun though and a nice break from being in the gym.

Tonight is power cleans again, front squats to about 90%, RDLs or GMs and some other assorted stuff.

I hope you had your prebed feast!!!

I need to switch mine cause I keep waking up like at 1am starving....maybe cc and pb??

WHen do you do deads bro and should I try cleans today?

On a funny story note (I swam at a local YMCA on a day pass, which I have never been to before).......I had to shower the chlorine off and all when I was done, and when I was getting changed this kid who was about 16-18 maybe, and fruitier than a $3 bill came up to me and said with the pronounced lisp I have ever heard "Excuse me". So I said 'Yeah', and he said "I was wondering if you could help me". So I said ''shoot''. (I was figuring some kids were picking on him, and I would have gladly scared them off for shits and giggles, lol)..... Then he said "I was wondering if you could tell me how to get 'supplements', the not-so-legal kind''. I told him at his age he should be concerned with Pb and J sandwiches and milk, lol.

I sure did last night. 50g whey with 2 cups of skim milk and 2 tablespoons of ANPB......then an egg salad sandwich on whole wheat.

I'm doing a little unload this week, so no deads til next week. I have to see what you have planned for today....I see no reason not to clean though.

No, I am going today. I took yesterday off to swim though....wasn't much of a workout, I basically clowned around and got really frustrated trying to learn the butterfly stroke, lol.

I was going to ask if you sank from the butterfly ... Do you think the muscle made this very hard for you as previously suggested? Curious, not much of a swimmer either so I wouldn't know

I don't know, lol. I can't use it as my excuse though, because I had no clue what I was doing. I've only ever swam for fun really. There was so much to remember with breathing and the way you kick and the hands and all.....I'd have to break it up and work on it in various phases, and then when I knew how to do it right, I could tell better. The girl who was showing me said it looked like it could be an issue, but also that she just wasn't used to a guy my size in the pool (I don't have the typical 'swimmer's build' lol).

LOL at the kid at the Y looking for "supplements". Reminds me of a guy who posted elsewhere how happy it made him the first time he was asked if he used gear (he doesn't).

I'm still waiting for such accusations (I don't use gear), but slowly getting bigger. Maybe before long they'll start asking.

Here is yesterday's workout....Thurs 11/2/06

Power clean....warm-ups, 185x3, 225x3, 255x3, 275x3x3

Jump Shrug: 225x5, 315x5, 405x5, 495x5, 585x5

Looks like you really took the jump shrugs easy too....... i guess......... whoa!

I like singles on a deload, it is much less total work than ith high volume 5's or 3's.....my front squat is somewhere between 385-405 if I were to try for a max lift.

Forgot to post Friday's workout.....

Flat Bench: 135x15, 225x5, 300x5, 335x5, 350x5, 360x5

Dips: Bodyweightx10, 45x10, 90x 4 sets of 8

Flat Dumbell Press: 80s x 3 sets of 20

Saturday....

Alt. D-Bell Curls: 40sx8, 50sx8, 60sx8, 65sx8, 70sx8 (as a side note for anybody interested, in college and back in the day, I didn't chin consistently and I never really used more than 55s I think on d-bell curling, I actually curl less frequently now and I credit the increase in weights to the chinning).

HIIT on treadmill for ~ 20 min

I feel good to go heavy today, I want to do some heavy singles on the bench after push press, and some high volume front squatting.

Hey BiggT,

so 'Deloading Week' is over now or what ? How do you feel ?

But after I see your last week, it wasn't real deload, was it ;)

greets, Svet

I feel like a million dollars....overall the total workload was way down, I didn't do any heavy, straight 5x5's on anything, and anything done for a single or triple was no more than 80-90%......I am excited about going to the gym later.

Svetislav_aka_Waczlaff said:
whats up man - do you change your routine or are you still in deloading ?

I'm still training. I slacked off with posting my workouts on here, not for lack of time though, lol.....

All caught up, lol....I am training tonight and will post up.

Nice fronts as always - I guess the Deload is over? You must be feeling "back"

I feel nice and recharged. The plan is to lower my volume for a few weeks and see how strong I got, and do some more HIIT....and bag DLs for a few weeks and get my clean up.

Great decision on the HIIT.

Try the 1:1 ratio at 85% on the load(HI part)

.....you will probably find that a 30-45:60 works best at 100% of the High intensity oart

It's a 3 rep PR.....but the 300+ numbers were BTN jerks not push presses.

biggt you're super impressive dude. i even started drinking milk and eating pb&honey too. and i've found your thoughtful responses to newbies very thorough and reading those have put me on the right track. and reading your logs for information and motivation have kept me on track... so thanks man.

Crazy weight overhead as usual. Congrats.

Do you still plan to go for that big deadlift that you mentioned a few weeks ago?

I tried it about a week and a half ago and fucked it up......I back squatted heavy first, then kind of impromptu went to deadlift. I smoked my old PR of 605, then went to 655 and gave it all I had. I got it to right below the knee and got stuck,, it stayed right below my knee for what seemed like a minute, I pulled the hell out of it and it wouldn't budge, then I dropped it so I didn't black out. I had a nose bleed to boot and another attempt at anything was out of the question. I wish I would have tried maybe 640-ish, or done them fresh....not saying it would have mattered, but I would have had better odds, lol.

such a beast.... I want to see you hit it hard next time before squats, 655 will be cake. I see a 700 in your near future!! Keep that shit up Bigg...

It's always hardcore to have blood running from your nose while lifting. Eyes are more hardcore, though I've yet to manage that one.

635 sounds like it'd be a sure thing, that'd give you the confidence to know you could kill 655. Do them fresh, come on.. set a new PR :D

very strong, especially the pressing

Worked out last night....Wed. 11/22/06

Power Clean: bunch of warm-ups......185x3, 225x3, 255x3, 275x3, 285x3, 295x3

Jump Shrug: 315x5, 405x5, 495x5, 585x5, 585x5

Chins: BWx 11, 10, 8

Standing alternate d-bell curls: 55sx8, 65sx8, 65sx8

Went out for a bit and drank some beers and a little whiskey, lol.....I ate an obscene amount today also and I am expecting a serious number at tomorrow's weigh-in.

WTF is a BTN Jerk?

Sick numbers T - i think about you, Tweak, and FF everyday when I am loading what I think is heavey weight to the bar - I try to remember that you are front squatting my heavy back squat sets and it helps me.....so thanks

It's a jerk from behind the neck, I power jerk, but you can split jerk if you prefer....and I use a snatch grip to really trick out my numbers, lol....I haven't done them in months though.

Had a great workout today, fueled by tons of food yesterday.

Back Squat: 135x10, 225x5, 315x5, 385x1, 405x5x5

Close-Grip Bench: 135x10, 225x5, 300x1, 320x5x5

Flat D-Bell Bench: 110sx 3 sets of 12

Weighed in at 260....feel good at this weight. I am gonna push this training cycle hard and eat heavy, then I am moving in Jan and going to law school, so I'll probably cut back the eating a little then and walk around at a svelte 225. Now, my cutting diet might amuse some, lol.....basically, it is high protein and just reduced everything else, like Chinese takeout instead of Chinese buffet, but hey, it works for me.

Law school, eh? That's awesome and part of my eventual educational plans, too. Which Michigan school?

(lol, leave it to me to focus on that part of a post that includes 5x5 squatting with 4 plates and CGBP with 3+...)

dont forget the the new 75$ wife-beater from abercrombie :rainbow:

Pedicures are scheduled and I called Hollister and ordered a $75 wife beater with "Hollister" across the front to show off my massive pecs. I ordered a boys size 16-18, hopefully I can squeeze my head into it, I should be a hit on the dance floor.

Lifted today....12/2/06

Snatch Pull: 135x a bunch, 185x3, 225x3, 255x3, 285x3, 315x3, 345x3, 345x3 (345 is a PR)

Pendlay Row: 225x5, 255x5, 285x5. 315x5, 325x5 (PR)

Good Morning: 135x10, 225x5, 245x5, 265x5, 285x5, 305x5 (very pathetic, wow, lol)

Barbell Curl: 115x5, 135x5, 155x5, 175x1, 190x1, 200x1, 145x8, 145x8

Weighed in at 260

I think that's the first time I've seen you do GMs. Assistance work that won't burn you out in preparation for a big pull at the end of this training block? (I assume you plan to grab a new PR before you drop down to 185 and start posting "2 grams/wk enough to rep with 225?" threads on the AAS forum.)

I hope you wore a weight belt for the curlz with UA sleeveless on.

Awesome PR's.

lol, yah... you clown... only 305x5 GM... I can't imagine what a good weight for GM's would be then, 3 plates and a medium pie?

Thats exactly what I'm doing (well, the assistance that won't burn me out for a deadlift PR part, lol).

BTW.....2 grams a week is for newbies. If you want to be massive enough to rep on the bench with 225 (thats 2 plates!!!!!) then you need 3 grams of test a week.

Don't think that gear alone will get you to two plates. Gear might get the first plate for you but the second one is all down to hard work, solid training and having laser-like focus.

My name is SuperPimp and I like curling, despite the fact that I make fun of it every chance I get.

My DL is somewhere 605 and maybe 640 I don't know. I'm gonna add 20-30lba a week to the snatch pulls and see where I end up. I also better add some weight to the GMs as they were downright embarassing.......thank God I finished with some biceps blasting curlzz on a high note.

Hey biggt is the bw you are now the heaviest you have ever been?

I've been about 10-12lbs heavier some years back. So, I'd say my biggest was 270-272-ish. I'm about 6' or 5'11 and 3/4 or something gay like that, lol.

In July 2005, I was about 217lbs (this was my low, it was depleted, my walking around weight was low-220s). That is when this recent push started. My journal entries are what you'd called micro-cycles. I load, then unload, then load, then unload, etc etc and it is all part of that one big meso-cycle that began in July of 2005. I am not technical and patient enough to really think in terms of that, but I guess if I were organizing this nice and neat, that's what it is. Over the past 18 months, I've gained 43lbs and I have gotten stronger than I imagined I would.

I've always had more mesomorph-type qualities since puberty, so I am fortunate in that I can jack up my cals and keep gaining weight for long periods without really feeling too fat and cutting and derailing progress (yeah, I feel premature diets demolish progress for people). Also, I've been this heavy before, so maybe that helped, I don't know.

In Jan. I am gonna cut back to 220-225lbs and probably spend the rest of my days trim and sexy, lol. Unless another 'get jacked' bug bites me in the ass, who knows.

Adam07 said:
How long do you expect it will take you to drop that weight, how much strength do you expect to lose?

I'll drop it in no time flat. I've never had a problem shedding weight. I just keep my protein high and eat more like a normal person instead of a complete asshole and it falls off, lol.

I'll lose strength. My training doesn't change much in terms of the way it looks. I expect to lose some strength. If you want to lift like a hoss, you need to be a hoss as the saying goes. But, yeah, my numbers on everything but chins and dips will definitely go down. I don't use dieting as an excuse to train like a ferry though.

Let me see if I can post some pics from the past year and a half......

In Jan. I am gonna cut back to 220-225lbs and probably spend the rest of my days trim and sexy, lol. Unless another 'get jacked' bug bites me in the ass, who knows.

So we are after the "svelte" look? I bet I can locate another interesting forum for you :)
