Just how far can a talented developer push a console? Take a look...

The video looks really good. Looks even better than what my pc can handle. Something about it though. Looking at it, it still looks like console though. I don't know how to explain it, but the colors and texture just look like it's a console games. I think it's the fuzzy colors.
 
pc game development though is way behind the actual hardware. Sounds strange given that you still need a monster system to play crysis on full/AA.....but that coding was a bloated joke. When games start being optimized for the new core i5/i7's and the new line of GPU's, crysis will seem a very distant memory. THe new graphics techniques will be making their way to the PC first too. I'm waiting for dedicated hardware acceleration for the new ray tracing and voxel shading engine's they're developing.

John Carmack's big on that. Doom 4 should be phenomenal.
 
Yea the coding for games is very important. I can barely run GTA 4 on my PC on the lowest setting. What the hell is that shit? Bad coding.
