Personally, and I am not a heffer but a lard ass testosterone filled bull, I would take the above as a compliment - NO ONE @ 6% is strong, fast, or for that matter hydrated!

OK... couple stupid questions... what's the diff between ephedrine and ephedrine hcl, nothing?

And second, u still have to add in the proper ratios of caffeine and aspirin along with that, correct?

I was itching to look into this this week as well. We're all on the same page here:)
 
hmmmmm...not sure. i got my bloodwork done about 6 months ago...you know typical chol, tri, etc etc..... i would bet they are pretty low. i should be prob do something about that..
 
today's diet

meal 1 1/2 cup of coattage cheese w/ pineapple
meal 2 2 cups of eggwhites
meal 3 8oz chicken breast, 1 large baked potato, some veggies, 1 small pickle
meal 4 1 can of tuna
pre workout 2 scoops of MM
pwo 1 scoop whey 1 small gatorade
meal 5 8oz chicken breast, green veggies
meal 6 2 tbsp on anpb

Well in an earlier post you hinted to steering clear of gear...which is good if you don't need it...but for me my levels are very low (350-800 is normal) so looking into HRT made sense. Not that I found gear due to low levels, but when I had my levels tested to insure health for a cycle I noticed my free test was around 280'ish... at that point I decided HRT was for me and became a researcher.

Test does a lot for you. If you are unclear as to its "job" in your body I would look into it. It is needed to make, and preserve muscle, especially when on a caloric deficit.
 
al- did you have any idea your were deficient in test? low libido? not alot of energy? if i had a doc prescribe me some test and it was for legit medicinal purposes i would seriously consider doing it...

No. I was about to jump on a cycle and went in to get my blood work done (had never cycled before). Blood work canme back at or around 280'ish on Test. My doc told me at that point I would be a candidate for HRT and gave me a local Endo's name - never used it as I am self employed and crap like that costs $1000 easy in doc visits before you get anything decent.

You need to get your blood work done and specifically ask about your free test levels. If they are low put yourself on HRT - if you can easily get a script do it, but buying from pharmacies is really expensive IMO.

def something to consider bro...i do think i have an extremely hard time putting on muscle...while i can put on junk weight extremely easy. i have an addictive peronality and if i start cycling test i may never come off haha. thanks for the advice brutha...some good info up in here!
 
LOW TEST IS VERY COMMON.....Its gona be 6 months for me to get into an endo for him to tell me that and give me the dumb wssted patch......SO, I'm taking into my owns hands....running this pct, wait till a special day in Fenraru and then blowing the doors off......Sarge, you weren't fat compared to what might happen to me....not fat per say, but from 160 to 200 (my goal) it's gonna be some fat.......from 2950 cals to 4500 will prob send me into the depression state from hell..


thank god Im stiackd on Xanax....going to the store now to get a boat lod of big tees and sweats.....no bully buldging....first time I will have lost my abs (I HOPE I CAN HOLD onto TWO!) for years, but what is the definition of insanity???? Doing te same thing over and over and over with the same results....skipping am cardio did NTHING......just a point that cardio has very very very little of anything to do with this equation.....


MAYBE the final 5 weeks, but no more than that......
 
JK, i'm not fat compared to 98% of the population, lol... but by "Bodybuilding's" standpoint... yup, I am.

My pecs/moobs stick out farther than my stomach still, so I'm actually not see as "fat" by anyone but myself in my own little "world." And to those whom I let in that little world here online, lol.

JK you'll do it... just a completely different mind set and goals... you'll focus on strength and weight gain. You'll be able to do it noproblem once you're focus on that goal.

JPT: :evil: hit the juicy juice... You KNOW you want to. you can't lift heavy-heavy (or that be your focus cuz of ur back), so may as well get growth from other stimulus.

Depression, general malaise, fatigue, increase body fat, an inability to gain muscle, low energy can all be symptoms of low test. All HRT should do is bring you up to where you should be. Still takes hard work to build muscle.
Low test can also lead to Type II diabetes, and sleep apnea. It's also a risk factor for heart disease due to problematic lipid levels. Best to get tested, anyways

JK: While it is common for humans to associate food with friends and family and good times, it's that very association that is the problem. Separate the too.. and learn to say no to peer pressure. You shouldn't have to isolate to cut, you just shouldn't. (Way easier said than done... without a doubt.)

JPT: You've done a great job bro. low test or high test, hrt or no hrt, do what you gotta do. If you do go down that road, don't push your body further than you should... you don't wanna be like these wrestlers or ball players with mysterious muscle tearing right off the bone injuries, or in your case, affect ur back negatively before you realize it.

huh??? I dont sep. the two, was that directed towards me?? I eat with them, my parents are both more cauitous about their food consumption than I am...well, almost.....I go to clubs, raves, etc......just don't booze.....I'm not a hermit by any means bro.......cutting to a degree is SIMPLE....once you reach a point where you stall (i.e. 10%) it's pure hell..........

today's diet....working from another office with no fridge...so i packed a shake for breakfast....prob looking like 3 shakes today...but nothing i can do about it

meal 1 cottage cheese and pineapple
meal 2 muscle milk
meal 3 grilled chicken salad
meal 4 1 can of tuna
preworkout muslce milk
PWO 2 scoops of whey and a gatorade
meal 5 8oz filet mignon (omaha!) green veggies
meal 6 22 almonds

YES they will.... you have to train them hard and often.... Try it out. Mine used to resemble forearms and then I decided I was going to pound the heck out of them and they are growing, and growing!!! It just takes time and persistance!!

JPT.. the biggest key, and always easier said than done, is just trying something different. Maybe different calf exercises, maybe higher reps, maybe lower reps, maybe different sequence. Measure those calves and track the changes. Also are u progressing with the weights u use? The seated calf raise shouldn't f your back up if u maintain form.

Of course bodyfat %, etc. can be a factor in measurements and ur muscles are usualy deflated while cutting anyways, but u should be able to notice significant progress.

Just a thought.
 
Added bodyweight was the best thing i ever did for my calves.

I believe Treil is bulking too, so that's got something to do with it.

Get on HRT and work 'em everyday... probably put some nice size on 'em that way :evil:

i know for my body low heavy reps work best...unfortunately that's how i hurt myself in the first place so i try and keep it simple..8-15 rep range depending on what i'm working...and strict form...contractions etc. i have realized through the years that diet is more imprtant then training...so i alsways try to keep that as my number 1 priority b/c of my limitations. it def works!

sarge- your are evil hahaha. if i go on hrt i may never come off. 10 pounds of rock solid muscle in a few months sounds good to me though lol

JPT.. when was the last time tried to bulk? Did u see no results/fat gain only? or are u afraid to attempt it because u can't lift to your max?
 
i just came off a bulk about 2 months ago...i went from 168 to 183 in 4 weeks. i put on weight so easily it's ridiculous...i had to stop b/c my pants and shirts did not fit right anymore...plus for some reason at 183 everyone thought i was 200lbs....i just don't look right i think at that weight. my ideal weight is prob around 175-180 ...right now i'm about 172

b/c hrt will allow me to bulk without gaining as much fat and water weight. i'm prob not going to do it....but i'll know for sure when i get my test levels done
 
judging by the avi... you look thickly muscled at that height.

i'm not sure how everyone did yesterday diet wise but i pigged out big time. meatballs, sausage, chili, smores, brownies, sprite etc. etc. i made sure i hit the gym yesterday hard...woke up and did 20 minutes HIIT and 5 minute cool down period. then about 4 hours later i picked up a jump rope in my apt and did that for 12 minutes...holy shit that was tough!! had to stop a few times to catch my breath.

todays' diet

meal 1 1 cup of cottage cheese
meal 2 2 cups of eggwhites
meal 3 grilled chicken and vegges
meal 4 1 can of tuna
pre workout muscle milk
PWO 2 scoops of whey with a banana
meal 5 grilled chicken and veggies

well, last night i wasn't feeling great at all after all that sugar i ate. i haven't pigged out like that in a long time. it was fun while it lasted....back now into the real world. today i feel great! can't wait to hit chest and back tonight and then relax and watch 24 with the lady.

side note: i need to snack on something before bed that will fill me up and is not calorie dense. almonds do not do the trick...i end up eating more then i should alot of times...or if i don't i'm still hungry. i'm thinking about maybe switching my preworkout shake (muscle milk) to my prebedtime snack and not eating anything pre-workout except for a can of tuna a few hours before. thoughts anyone?
 
I wouldnt switch the shakes, Can you double up on the (or ADD) veggies?

Maybe look to the entire DAY's intake not just the last meal i.e.


meal 1 1 cup of cottage cheese (add meat or protein powder??)
meal 2 2 cups of eggwhites (add veggies or something else here)
meal 3 grilled chicken and vegges
meal 4 1 can of tuna (more veggie or a healthy fat)
pre workout muscle milk
PWO 2 scoops of whey with a banana
meal 5 grilled chicken and veggies
add a meal 6 of 2 oz of almonds or nuts, 3 tbsp pb etc

I like bunny's plan... Of course, i was going to mention something about the diet too :)

before bed, as long as it's not a whole potato i don't think the 25grams of carbs from teh fats will hurt you... the fats slow it down digestively any way.

IMO you are not eating enough during the day with those meals .. they seem like they are missing something...
Also, you can eat 10 cups of broc before bed if you wanted to ...
just stay away from the taters, oats, pasta right before bed etc unless you're training in the evening, which I even think you are, so you COULD throw in a 4 oz tato AFTER your shake and BEFORE you fat meal (meal 6) and be fine

probably feel better too
 
also, I think the carb rotation is finally having it's affect on your hunger... you can adjust the meals, or deal with it.. also carrots, noooooooooooooooo, NOT BEFORE BED .. they have plenty of health benefits, but for a cutting diet, if you must, early in the day... choose green veggies, broc, green beans, spinach and eat plenty of it... unlimited if you will, unless you get gassy and your fiance gets pissed :D

stick to the green beans then lol

maybe try a tato (baking or sweet, mix it up is you want) , better choice than rice IMO but dont ask me why right now, also try adding more food thru out the day and let me know if the hunger persists.

hahaha....i used to do that bro...but i have developed a new form of inducing more of a pungent stank. let me tell you something...if done correctly it's like reeanacting hiroshima!

step 1 grab covers and securely fasten them around your body...make sure there is no air able to escape.

step 2 fart...now the hotter the fart the better...i wouldn't waste this awesome move on a fluffer.

step 3 let it brew for about 1-2 minutes

step 4 unleash the fury.....stand up and flap the covers like you would a towel on a beach...i sware i saw smoke once.

step 5 protect yourtself at all costs

I also have a great technique. While driving I let out a giant fart... but I use technique to make it silent..... and child lock the windows. By the time she smells it... it's too late.

I call it the torture chamber :)

incline db's 55x10 45x12 40x10 (felt weak as shit on these...30 seconds rest is no joke)

incline flyes 30x12 25x12 20x15

dips bwx15 bwx12

incline pushups to failure

pull downs 140x15 120x12 100x12

seated rows 120x15 100x14 80x13

hammer strength rows 3x15

no cardio....had to meet with my dj last night at 7 so i had no time. training legs tonight....looking forward to it!! i can't wait until after my honeymoon this way i can start progressive lifting again. this 30 sec crap is killing me...but it's def cutting me...my heart rate is up the whole time so i'm getting a double dose of cardio

today's diet

meal 1 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
meal 2 6oz of baked chicken
meal 3 6oz of grilled chicken and beans
meal 4 1 can of tuna
PWO ON whey with 1 banana, strwaberries, blueberries and fat free milk (tastes ridiculous)
meal 5 baked chicken and potato with beans
meal 6 mm shake

Looks like Chest got the blunt of the work? 125+ reps is a lot of work bro.

BTW your diet amazes me. I wish I could stick w/ something like that for 60-90 days instead of 6-9 days...lol

thx tre...no matter how hard i try it will never look as good as your though :)

al- my chest is one of my weak points b/c of my shoulder injury....in order for me to get a half way decent workout is by sheer volume training and through slow and concentric reps.

the reason my diet is so on point is b/c of my injuries and lack of options when it comes to training. it's been a pretty good balance for me so far and i'm a little amazed at how true the saying "diet is everything" is. ...but i'm def miserable for another 4 weeks. (with a cheat meal here and there :evil: )

squats on smith machine- tried 185 and the weight was just too heavy on my back so i just left plates on and kept repping out for like 6 sets. i wasn't even counting i just kept doing them until i almost passed out from exhaustion.

leg press 3x12,10,8

leg ext 3x12,10,8

leg curls 3x12,10,8

calves on leg press 4 sets with 4 plates on each side. 12-15 reps

today's diet

meal 1 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
meal 2 2 cups of egg whites
meal 3 8oz of tilapia and 1 med apple
meal 4 forgot my can of tuna today so i have no clue...maybe some trail mix or skip
PWO On whey shake with blueberries, strawberries, banana, and fat free milk
meal 5 12oz steak (eating out with dad....this place we're going has no veggies :()
meal 6 MM

****this friday i have my bach party in atlantic city so i will be drinking and eating like a whore. i deserve it :) going to try and hit arms on friday morning 5AM ...even though i know that it is going to be a challenge. or i can just hit them tomorrow night and then hit them up normal next friday. haven't decided yet....

my life lately has been pretty uneventful....although i did hold the door open for goo boy last week and he mustered up a thank you. lol

let's see...superbowl....hmmmmm....oh i had bad chronic gas from eating my best friend's chili and cleared out the living room.....and i also used my fiance's back as a snack tray. i think i have a picture of that...i'll post when i get a second.

db press 55x10 45x11 40x10 once again completely fatigued and out of breath after ohps.

side laterals 30x15 25x15 20x15

seated rope high pulls 3x15 ***my gym doesn;t have a peck deck for rear delts so i tried this....worked great. will incorporate these weekly

db shrugs 70x15 75x15 80x15

no time for cardio again....dinner with pop dukes! had a 12oz steak with some potatoes....then cam home and felt since i already cheated on my diet might as well go fro broke. had 2 bowls of granola cereal and then 4 tbsp of cinnamon swirl peanut butter from the peanut butter co.

today hitting arms instead of tomorrow b/c i have my bach party tomorrow and i don;t want to skip a workout. following that i will do 30 minutes of elliptical.

Another way to hit the rear delts would be bent over DB's if u wanted to try that... u can do it sitting down too.

hahaha...yep. 2 idiots lol. basically on the 3rd set i was out of breath and the lactic acid built up in the front dealts was sickening...the last 2 or 3 reps i kind of jolted it up which is why my neck feels someone put it in a vice. can't wait to stop this 30 sec b.s.

i sometimes do them standing...sometimes seated...sometimes on an incline bench...and sometimes with high cables....sort of like a reverse crossover. but i feel like the seated rope rows worked the best in abscence of a peck deck. god i hate my gym!!!!!!!!

my meal was excellent....would have been ideal if i was on a bulk :rolleyes:

i'll pay for it today is my cal intake is going to be around 1700. low cal low carb day after last nights feast.

meal 1 1/4 cup of cottage cheese
meal 2 1 3/4 cups of eggwhites
meal 3 8oz of boars head turkey breast (yeah i know...all i had to bring today)
meal 4 can of tuna
pwo on whey shake with 1/2 cup of oats
meal 5 baked chicken breast, salad with 1 tbsp on balsmic vinegrette, and green beans
meal 6...tbd. maybe 1oz of almonds
