Join the Competition TODAY!

Nice work bro!! Lighting is reeeeeaaally bad in the original pic you posted one page one, so hard to compare.... but looking lean, got alot of dieting to do to get to Makavelli status if that's still your goal.

I'd love to put in all my time and effort to focus on getting THAT lean, but unless i'm getting paid for it, HELL No mang!

P.S. Sweeeet monitor set up back there, lol.

Lookin Real lean bro. Upper body looks real good as well with good delts and arms...from what I can see. As for a suggestion i think maybe a little thickness in your stomach wouldnt hurt. maybe some GH :) . But good job bro!

sgt: everything with me is in cycles. i cant cut to the point of mak just yet, bc i personally dont think im big enough and i need to build up my traps first. ill judge where i am after my next cycle and judge if its time to start cutting again.

city: i would love to do some gh, unfort, i dont have the loot to drop on it.

dzls: the previous pic of me was taken during cycle when i was on a caloric deficit and now im on a surplus so im sure ive added a lil bit of fat. as far as my legs, they are reg size in my mind. i swam competitively for 11 yrs so im sure im storing some muscle there. my back is also abnormally big for my size so there is some of it.

JMT:

I want a wheels and back shot.

Who's with me? It'll help you track your own progress too bro!

hmm... you say you need more traps... let's see the development from the back bro.

Like sure know how to kick you when you are down. I now have a lady giving me a law suit for a dog biting incident.....fuck. heard that last night so I just ate chips cookie dough and milk till i didnt feel good. Still had a good squat and leg workout yesterday. Diet is slackin.

Is it all right if I join this competition? It will keep me motivated.

at 24% and you plan on doing a body building show in november eh? I guess with extream work and diet it can be done. It wont be easy thats for sure. HOw old are you? You plan on running a cycle? Post up the pics.

I am 31 years old, you can call it a mid life crisis, ha ha. Actually I used to be at 30% in September and brought myself down to 24.6 Now I will have the help of a trainer, as for running a cycle, I have no clue it is up to my trainer. The schedule I posted is what she gave me she also gave me a strict diet to follow, but it is way more food then I have been eating since September so it is nice.

She told me in six weeks we are going to be going hard core and changing it up so I can only assume I am cutting, bulking then cutting.
As for pictures, I don't know how too???

I am really excited too because at the end of 6 weeks I am getting the BF tested again and this is the most exercise I have ever done so I know it will have to go down some more.

Ok I'll go ahead and post my stats...No pics, I'll see what I can do.
I'm just a wee little tot LOL, I mean Ima small guy just starting out and well I gotta get the BF% down before I can start bulking, you can call me a peice of clay because this is the first time Im working through this and trying to get the mold started.

Age: 21
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 189
BF% Estimated: 20%
I have a small frame and haven't ever really lifted to bulk muscle, I used to play sports but thats about it.

Goals: Drop at least 10% BF before doing my first bulking phase, pretty much ever lol, as far as doing it to build muscle is concerned.

Diet: CKD for now to try to get the BF off as quickly and as effectively as possible.
Training: 3 days lifting, 3 days moderate cardio, 2 day HIIT.

Nada. Working, sleeping, etc. Busy. You?

Last Tuesday I was doing squats. 3rd & last set I was going down on my first rep, & I felt a twinge in both legs, on one of the smaller muscles Hamstring muscles. I stayed down for about 10 seconds, deciding whether I wanted to try getting back up. Well I did, & it didn't hurt, but any time I went to bend down for the rest of my workout, I was in a fair amount of discomfort. I could barely pick the dumbells off the floor. That was it for my legs. The rest of my workout I switched up & did upper body only.
No cardio 'til today, & that went okay.
The coupla days after, I felt sore, like my legs felt when I first started roller blading.

Hey girl! Great to see you wanted to join their little competition .. good bros in this thread ;)

Check your PM, email me the pics & I'll post them for you until you get the hang of it. I can also post them in your log on Women's as well so the ladies and peep your progress :)

Good luck :D

Had an awesome shoulder workout today. No pain at all.
I have tendonitis in my traps, especially my left. & I sometimes have pain, due to rotator cuff weakness, more in my left, also. I do physio type exercises for it & it seems to be working.

Well for the last 5 days my diet has been going pretty well, I was about 300 cals short of my goal one day since I slept till 2 in the afternoon, but I cant complain about that.

I did miss a day of workouts yesterday though :-( Had to go get my car worked on and well of course that took half the day, then I had to DJ last night. Blah I hate missing a day of nething...Makes me feel like it was a complete waste of 24 hours.

Anyways thats the overview of my first week, I'll try to be more in detail for this upcoming week, since it will be my first full week on the boards.

Lotta new guys on this thread. I like it.Been a good thread. Meeting new people and everyone can kinda meet here. No bullshit either....plenty of that lately on EF.

getting back on the diet today... last week was pretty lackcluster... just one of those, "i don't give a shit" weeks...

well, gotta go prep my stuff for the week...

Chest and Triceps today, Day off yesterday, but well worth it. Week 2 of program, excited and can't wait to see how much I can actually lift. Last week, took it easy trying to figure out the exercises!

back workout today. going to see if i can do db rows with 120's. with 2 scoops of amp, i think i can.

i was so nauseous in the gym today, but i still managed to have a great back workout. i did get out 120's, with straps though, for 5 times. they were all real clean reps. im pretty happy with that. next its benching 3 plates. we'll see how thurs goes.

Niiice! good job reppin' out the 120's!

Good luck with the 315 bro... sounds like your going for PR's this week? Or just deceding to keep track of weight?

my last set of each exercise should be close to my max. im not going for an all out max, just going for 2-3 on my last set. i prob wont get 315 this week, prob get around 300. bc of my shoulders, i was laying off incline bench so i was only doing 6 sets of flat and 6 sets of decline. ive been able to do 285 for 2 on my sixth set, so ill try to do 300 for my 3rd or 4th on thurs. i love training heavy. feels so much better than cutting

also, ive been afraid to go heavy with my shoulders and lower back, but this week im just saying screw it. i want to see what i can really lift.

Workout all reps 23/21/18/16
smith squats
walking lunges
DB squats
DB step ups on grey stair
hack squats
hamstring curls
leg press
blue seated leg curls

don't know what weights I will use, I had a hard time finishing near the end last time but I am hoping this week will be much better for my legs, I also plan on doing my cardio after or tomorrow depending on time and how I feel

Especially in C&C. You need hip waders over there.
I've got a spreadsheet set up in excel where I can track my diet fairly accurately. Lotta work to set up, but once that's done, it's pretty kool.
Now the hard part is getting the proportions right every day.
I've been getting better. Down about 5 lbs since I started. Need to clean it up some more. Those hidden fats & carbs can kill you.

 Diet hasnt been going good. Meals are scattered and far between. Not to much junk food but plenty enough. Have made it to the gym though. Try and make sure I eat enough protien and bring in a good amount of water. Still getting remarks on looking "big". Feels great. Last couple of days just trying to get some ass set aside... got my ex back last night....shes a nypmho....I think im ready to start my cyce. ;) First time I have seen the bitch in 3 years and was down to fuck. Whores.

i dont want to say that all girls are whores and get every female in this thread against me, so ill say most girls are whores. good job city, hate fuck her. today i took down 4500 cals without a problem evenly split (33%protein/33%carbs/33%fat). i just bought the body opus book and can't wait for it to come. real excited to try a ckd once i hit my goal weight.

They are all whores at heart. I will say it until I meet one. But yes although diet has slacked I have had gains. My body seems to like to stay at the weight I am. It doesnt matter if I bring in 4000 cals or 2500. It just seems like the amount I am able to lift changes. I think it has something with being 19 :) . Also I need to work on getting more sleep. Cant wait to see what happens when the enth will do to my body. Gettin anxious.

Worked out my delts yesterday. Its funny. last delt workout I couldnt put up a 40 lbs dumbells. They felt like 1000 for whatever reason. Proboly diet. But yesterday I went and Put up 65's and repped em pretty good. Strange.

Keep up the great work Girl! Good Luck! :rose:

i had such a horrible day at work. the only thing that made this day bearable was that i got up 295X4 on flat bench today. way more than i thought i could get. amp+purcee is the shit. i feel like an animal in the gym.

CK06 Great Frame... cake walk ;) (j/p... well just easier to get proportional with a great start).

JMT: You'd don't Feel like an animal... you are an animal. Get it right, live it, breath it, fed the animal... and push big weight... ok, i'm exhausted and rambling... going to bed :D

Yup, all my porportion is in the lower half of my body, ha ha :) if you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at.... thanks for the comp!

I've benched 265 for 6 before. lately I've been getting flattened by 225. Yet I'm stronger on my D.B. incline's & Flyes  . I don't get it.

No laughing matter... i want your calves. Sick wheels too! Just gotta work on your upper... with diet and cardio you'll be good.

How is training and diet going for ya? And stat update for comparision?

i wasnt expecting your legs to look like that with your upper body. with diet and a good workout routine, youll be ready in no time.

^^ I agree, I'm not laughing :) To be honest kinda surprised the upper doesn;t match the lower but hell, nice calves.

haha I know. My buddy is jelous, although he is 2 times my size his calves look like straws. I have plenty of mass and I just started to kick them back into shape. I used to never work calves because they are naturally big... to bad its my calves instead of my chest of lats. I just now started squating this week. Maybe il take a photo tonight with better lighting and a pump.

sgtslaughter said:
Nice City... least you've got some good mass there, just gotta shape it :) Just think if you had sticks to work with.. much harder.
^^ Danngit Sarge get outta my head!

City I AGREE (lol grrrr) ...

You are lucky ... I wish I could never work calves LOL, I have NICE large calves, but lacking defintion, even when I'm very lean, they just don't match ... Not this time around though! :) WOot woot :D

Best of luck with your training :)

now with me in it:

{Bunny's:DBrain}

lol

City you stated you used to never work them... you do now? You could easily start getting a nice upside down heart shape back there... maybe u do and bad angle.. dunno.

haha yea I really NEVER had worked them. But lately I figure what the fuck and started doing them after squats. I lack squatting consistantly because of it immobilizing me for the rest of the week. I hate wobbeling around in the clubs and not being able to dance because my legs are not able to function normally. But they are my strong point. Being Stocky I have Short but thick legs and I am going to start squating again every week and see how massive and defined I Can get my legs. Need my diet back in shape....its been horrible. Ill take some better hotos tonight.

Bro, i started doing leg day with as much intensity and as consistantly as chest day... and it's great. They get used to it pretty quick (well for me at least) I did them wednesday i think... they're perfectly fine today.
Nail 'em early in the week with your other major parts. Burn a ton of calories working the big ass (pun intended, lol) muscles group that is the "legs" too.

haha good job ck! I am having issues not fitting into shirts. Neck to tight, short on me, or just too small. Its a great feeling but as broke as I am I just throw em on and look like a joke. But I love shopping after seeing changes....rewarding.

I figure it is a reward I quit smoking in January so when I can get into that next size smaller I buy a piece of clothing. Right now I have a clothing store in my closet with my clothes all arranged and marked (yes I am a geek) from size 14, which is where I started to now a size 5/6!

How are things going with your diet? Seeing any more progress?

Yes I am seeing progress. My diet isnt really anything as of oately. I have been eating shitty. I still try to get in all my protien but who knows how much cal/fat... Its hard for me to notice change because I am constantly looking at myself ealuating myself. Like some days Im like fuck...im lookin bigger or I dont remeber ever seeing that dimple or vein. And other days its like fuck my belly ihuge and my arms are small. I will get my diet back on track soon. Exspecailly before my first cycle.

my diet has consisted of beef and milk lately. it sounds pretty nasty, but i have no problem taking them down together. i had to skip shoulders on fri bc my joints were really sore from seeing what my max's were this week. hopefully next week they will adapt. ive been eating tons but my weight seems to be going down. im currently 222, down from 230. i guess this is what pct no matter how much you eat. hopefully, the weight will come back in the coming weeks.

im currently 222, down from 230
That must be discouraging when bulkking...but like you said thats PCT.... What does your PCT look like? Do you still look about the same? With me 8 pounds isnt noticable.. But im a fat ass.

my diet has hit the crapper the last 5 days... not that i've been shoveling junk in, just not eating enough... stress at work is a real ass kicker when trying to feed yourself to grow...

and this coming week is my wife and my son's birthdays... i'll be off work with a 4 day weekend next week as well, which spells doom to my diet... i can't stay on my eating routine when i'm not at work... :(

my workouts have been going great though, and am going to start week 5 of my 5x5 this week, meaning i will be starting to set some new PR's...

I always say, don't kick yourself...just be aware and it sounds like you are. Think of your eating right now as a little retreat and then get back on that wagon, at least your still working out!! I know it sounds corny, but true!!!!

i'm gonna try and get a few new pics tonight... if i forget to put them in this post, they will be in the picture forum...

so far i like it... the first 4 weeks its a little hard to keep interest, as you are lifting well below your 5 rep max on all lifts...

i'm coming from the school of alot of isolation work, so this was a huge change for me... i start week 5 now, and will begin hitting new personal records coming this week... i'll report more on my likes / dislikes over the next few weeks...

I remember talking about it with a guy that used to say riduculus things like. " pro Body builders know nothing about training... its all genetics and drugs.." and it just sounded so stupid that I didnt listen to him. I thought if the system was so good why dont more professional athletes use it??? Its not like they dont have all the resources in the world not to.

i think it's a mental block...

guys like to get that pump in the gym... you will not get that from the 5x5... at least not from the first 2 workouts of the week... last workout of the week, you can do a little isolation work...

it's a mindset for sure... the 5x5 is a stregth program first...

Nice work bro! You've definetly put on some thickness... with very little, or non-existant fat (I don't see any increase from before at all... you've probably lost a tad, no?). Keep workin' your lean bulk and 5x5 ... it's working!

^^ Ya, no $h1t ... nice work DZ ...

nice work dzls. def let us know how you like the 5x5. i looked into it awhile back but decided not go that route. im not looking for strength as much as im looking for size.

Strength doesn't always coincide with size you're right but it definetly stimulates growth when you change up your routine once in a while. I added some serious mass/strength last fall-winter using a power lifting routine.

It's hard giving up that pump feeling though...

So true hun... To elaborate on this, I cannot believe some of the power that comes of out of some of the guys at the gym & neither can a friend of Mine I help train sometimes ... he's 6'4 1/2 (yes, he'll round up) and about 220-225...

I constantly insist on dropping the weight, get in the Full ROM reps & not worry about how many plates 5'10 170 lb'r over there can do... I tell him, unless he runs a strength program, incorporates more POWER exercises & EATS more ( I think I eat more than him right now lol :chomp: ), I don't see him reaching that level of strength ... very humbling it's also kinda sad to see the frustration ...

Sorry for the rant ... carry on :)

do you guys ever get elbow pain when doing skull crushers and forearm pain when doing barbell curls. my elbow pain feels like a bad soreness and my forearm feels like shin splints, but in my forearm. anyone have any experience with this?? help much appreciated. its making it hard to get thru some of my workouts.

YEP! I thought I was the only one. When I first started skull crushers I HATED them. They felt aqward and did nothing for a pump. and would leave my wrest and elbows with like a popping twitching feeling. After awhile my arms got used to them and havent had them again. But that is common. But you are the only one other then myself to talk about the splints in forarms when doing curls. For a long while I felt that when i was doing barbell curls that my forarms where going to break. Like i though i might have had a small fracture or something. It did feel much like a chin splint. Havent had it a lot lately...kinda just stopped but i had it for about 3 months. Such a wierd place for a fracture though. I am interested about it as well. I figured though thats what it was because it hasnt came back and feels like it "healed". No one knew what i was talkin about either.

I am doing those tonight and my problem is my wrists, but bought some new wrists supports and I am trying them tonight. My goal is to get all the way through them!

Skull crushers really crank on my elbows for sure... they're rough... but never "hurt" as in painful. I try to keep my wrists as flat/straight as humanly possible... so they're never an issue... but elbows yeah for sure, but no pain... that must be rough.

I like heavy tri pressdowns and overhead presses and close grip bench more.

For a real swap of exercises to hit the same part of the tricep try the Low Cable with a seat facing the opposite way and a bar on it for overhead presses... may need someone to hand the bar to you though. It's quality.

one thing about my chiropractor is he used to body build and he told me it could be bc my muscles are growing faster than my tendons. it should go away with time but for now i have to work through it. i really like my tri workout right now and im going to stick with it. first i do reverse grip bench (i dont know if this is the name), skullcrushers, pushdowns, and 1 random exercise which changes every week. i will finally be posting a lat shot soon.

I have been doing the same tri workout for about 4 months and have had great gains. I start out with behind the head dumbell overhead press. Work up to about 100lbs. Then skull crushers to about 80-90lbs. Then Pull downs goin real heavy with the V shaped bar. and then Light TIGHT reps with the cables. I always blow the shit outta my tris. My elbows stopped getting sore after consistantly doing them. Maybe try skull crushers as a warm up set and dont go to heavy. Then when you quite feeling pain bump up the weight. Thats what I did.

I never try to work through PAIN .. ache is different ... when I was running into this problem I lowered the weight for skulls & super set'd close grip tri chest presses if I felt I wasn't getting a good enough 'burn' ... I also started doing more forearm/wrist strengthening work b/c I feel the 'ache' was stemming from my Brachialis ... seemed to do the trick so far.

Well another week started it was great burned 400 calories got through the skull crushers (we call them french press) read a lot here today and just lowered the weight and focused on form but I rocked on the cable rope! Legs tomorrow.

Oh yeah, Wrist supports rock!

Good for you CK! I am all into grip strength and have been working on wrist strength as well. Just a little hobbie. But if they work for you....go for it!
