We have a new champ, ladies and gentleman. Jay Cutler, after numerous second-place finishes, has knocked out the champ. It's pandemonium here at the Orleans Arena. This is an amazing bodybuilding moment. Goosebumps.

Oh shit I posted this in C&C I forgot most people here don't work out or follow bodybuilding :(

We work out, we just wanna be able to fit in most designers clothing instead of wearing ridiculous Zubaz pants.

I'd take Arnold or Nubret's shape over Cutler's any day of the week.

Weider must have been pissed big time at Ronnie to allow someone else to win.... :worried:

Well done to Jay he finally did it ! would of been good to see ronnie get his 9th though

just the man keepin a brotha down!

that's awesome, i'm a ruhl fan myself but jay definitely deserves it

Cutler is a winer and a bitch too

Not exatcly an ab fest for anyone. Ronnie's freakish gut really fucked his whole symmetry up.

I bet ronnie retires now. I'd like to see him try to get into strongman competitions. At least then he'd have something left to compete in. He's what, pushing 40? late 30's?

I'm not saying he'd be any good at it, but would be interesting to watch. Way to go cutler

Whiskey

I like Jay's wife's body. Like, a lot.

How did Dex do? What did the top 5 look like?

lol, I watched one Olympie a couple years ago and it turned me off from watching these ridiculous comps ever again.

but glad to see Jay finally got his due - relatively speaking.

they both look kinda fat, there are people in there with tight waistlines that look better. but jay was definitely one of the most massive overall

Did Ronnie win anymore BULLSHIT ab posedowns vs. Dex like last year?

Oh wait, sorry - it's Abs AND Thighs, I forgot. :rollingeyessmileything:

I agree. While I find BB interesting - the politics and drama around the shows are silly to me.

Yo, EFers. I'm at the Orleans right now. I had floor seats for pre-judging and last night. Jay had it from pre-judging. He looked awesome - and Ronnie knew it.

IMO - it was an awesome show.

Also - figure was good. They tended to favor girls with a little more muscle and gave those skinny, rib showing girls (Lado) lower placement. Monica Brant came in #4 - she lost A LOT of muscle and came in alarmingly skinny for what she used to show in the past. A big difference between the Arnold and now. Jenny Lynn #1.

I'm going to the seminar right now - I'll post pics when I get back...

and the sporting world collectivly yawns
how can anyone give a shit with football on?

What up 'blue? Ronnie looked like shit didn't he? I don't see Cutler hanging onto the title longer than a year.

Amazing!

They almost look human (actually I first thought some were)

The next big battle if ROnnie retires now will be between Cutler and Vic
Martinez looked phenomenal, he should have been 2nd

Vic had never become Mr O or the sport will be a laughing stock.

qt did you see the short one when you were out there? you were out there right?
LOL no I was not I am in prep it is a pain in the ass to travel when getting ready for a show. Especially to Vegas to much fun to be had there and be dieting. Maybe I will make it to next years.

Actually you are right
that and considering Vic did time for geting nailed for AAS possesion and distribution. those in power could never allow the sports main ambassador to have a steroid related prior(or any prior for that matter)

Jay is a super sweet guy, and hot as hell! Bout damn time he takes the title.

Jay looks blacker than Ronnie... seems like he overdid it a bit with the Protan...

Also, Ronnie has way more vascularization and better separation at the abs when tense (better simmetry as well). He also has a bigger GH gut

A case of the Man keeping a brotha down 4shure

some pics look like they simply cut-paste the heads on top of the bodies... lol

Odd you say that, many were saying it was the best tan ever seen on the Olympia stage. It has something to with the lighting and the live judges Id guess. Maybe theyve been keeping the lightskin man down.

When not tense his abs looked like they weren't even there excpet the top one. Did you take a look at Ronnies back? He couldn't even do a full lat spread be cause of the tear. His back is no where near as dry as it normally is he had a great run but I think his time is up.

I like Jay admire his heart kept plugging at it year after year after all those 2nd place finshes. I would love to see him change the sport and come in as less of a mass monster at next years O. Out of the top 6 Melvin was hands down my fav his body is just more stream lined still has a tight waist line great perportions not to mention the mans posing routines are off the hook.

Oh shit I posted this in C&C I forgot most people here don't work out or follow bodybuilding

ya because you cant possibly do one without the other!!!

Pro bodybuilding is a genetic competition between receptor sites and financial ability to pay for GH and steroids.

LMAO at the people bashing the Olympia and bodybuilding on a board based largely on bodybuilding and vanity. It was a great show, there was definitely suspense. My gut instinct was that Jay was going to win. I am officially a huge Toney Freeman fan, that dude is bad news. His wheels looked awesome. Johnny Jackson, David Henry, and Darrem Charles had no legs (relatively speaking). I thought Branch got hosed as did Gunter. I don't think Gunter has a top 5 physique, but he sure as hell shouldn't have been 10th either. Mustafa also looked very good. The show was very deep in my opinion.

sorry, but people cheering a 400lb oiled up guy who runs in as a boxer, then comes out in a wig dressed as moses before stripping to a g-string and posing is ridiculous.

props to the hard work and dedication these guys go through, but seriously...

It may not be your thing but it is many others. A lot of people see what goes behind all that the hard work in the gym the dieting the continued sacrifices that these pros make every day thing you take for granted. The moses thing was an attempt at being entertaining a bit odd yeah I will give you that. As for the g-strings  what you have a body builder pose in to show of his body the best? I bet you have no complaints when the figure girls come out in there suits.

SublimeZM said:
ronnnies routine is the gayest shit out there
No you are :rainbow:

He was trying to be entertaining people. The dude is very religious so pretty sure there was no disrespect meant at all.

according to exodus, moses is known to have uttered the words "light weight" at least 3 times during his life.

i would be happy to see a move towards the frank zane kind of build. considering where things seem to be now, that's a long ways off.

Not as many as it used to be, QT. Pro BB has gotten so extreme that it's pissed off and/or alienated a significant percentage of it's former fans. Pro BB actually had an slim chance of mainstream acceptance in the late 80's. Back then ESPN regularly carried BB shows, and not just the O. When's the last time you saw a BB show on ESPN? Pro BB was something we in my family used to love. My poppa attended the '86 Mr. O and I got to attend some in the early 90's. It's pisses me off that this is what it's become.

I am not a fan of the mass monsters. I prefer better conditioning over size all of the top guys sarificed there condtioning for size. I really hope this changes.

I was extremely impressed @ Jays phsyique
to carry that much muscle, as hard and full as he was, and still maintain a tight waistline without distention was awesome
I thought the show was great. the only distended guts were Ronnie, Dennis James, and Gustavo
they rewarded the classic physiques for the first time ina long time with Freeman, Melvin, Darrem, Dexter, and Victor all turning out to be top competitors
I think pro BB is heading for some great gorwth with Iron J @ the helm.
