Japanese women > American women

Step outside of Tokyo and what are the women like?

I'm getting on the bullet train for Kyoto today, I'll tell ya later.

$300US for a bullet train. crazy

I am from Europe and live in Australia but I have also traveled a lot, studied a lot and met many people.

From my own experiences in life Europeans are classy and nothing has changed my mind about that in my world travels. I have much respect for my Europen predecessors and hope Europe can keep its values because many people want to be part of it or integrate within it simply becasue it is just brilliant.

Really? From my world travels, my impression is that Europeans are racist jerks. There were some bad experiences in Germany and France.

I am not sure what type of experiences you have had in your life but certain people stand their ground and have a certain way of living their life and if you visit them and are unable to keep up with them on their home land they obviously they won't like it.

I will go back to Europe to live and work there. i also love Australia becasue we have European herritage here so its cool.

lmao

My experiences were mainly with people who thought that North Americans were worth nothing and were just a bunch of warmongers. I told them that I'm from Canada, but they lumped me in with the stereotypical imagine of the Americans. I couldn't believe it. And we're not talking one or two people. We're talking almost everyone I met during my visit. Hence, I thought that they were douchebags

First of all this guy is ridiculously fucking elitist. Japan has been in a recession as of lately and why would you want to live in the most expensive city in the world??? Japan has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. If they have such a great life why is this?? It probably could be due to the fact that most people there can barely afford to live with a family in a 200 square foot apartment. Even if you truly like it better why do you feel the need to put down other people?? Are you that much better than everyone else? In reponse to that other guy's post about Europe. I have a bunch of friends from London one of which I roomed with in college. Although they completely disagree with our political viewpoints they are still very friendly and most of the people I met while I was over in Europe were friendly as well. Most Asian women are too small anyway.

Good for you. You've have some positive experiences and I've have some negative ones. No matter what I say, I'm not going to change your mind about Europeans and vice versa. I was merely stating that my experiences didn't match B's.

You have to go about 3 miles up the american class ladder to find the elegance that is everywhere in the women of Tokyo.
Everywhere downtown, where everyone is trying to maintain or improve their'face'.
Go out to where the average office worker lives, or the factory worker & see how their kids/wives are.

these people were just shopping and eating.

Spent the day in kyoto, more of the same...elegant people.

Japanese factory worker > US factory worker fo sho.

^^^This could go for any women from a very poor country that want to get out of there. I doubt that Japanese women are not staisfied with their status in their own country.

The other sentence, hun, that sounded just too wrong. It came off like american girl dont give a flying shit about their possiblle mates and care only for themsleves. Thats just wrong. Any woman should care how she looks like, how to make her mate happy, help him out with his goals and take care of him. In return, you will get the same respect you are offering

You're right, that's how it should be, but often times it isn't. It's different here in America, which is why many American guys value foreign chics cuz they haven't been tainted by Western world's worsening culture/society.

but remember, we do hold our own, we dont get lost under submission from our SO. Its just respect and care.

I doubt that all american girls are bad. Our friend managed to turn an american girl that was messy and dirty into real "foreign quality" girl. But she was willing though and was coming to me for questions and asnwers to see how to accomodate the foreign family of her boyfriend, whitout losing her own ways. She just compromised. I respect that

Asian women are the most elegant by far. European women are up there as well.

American women? Hell no! Just look at the ones on this board. Hehehe...

OK here we go

I'm in Tokyo. I've been out and about the last few days...city is amazing. Everythibg is three times the price of NYC, and probably three times as good.

Anyway, the women here are amazing. I'm not really into Asians, but these women are stylish, thin, fashionable, well-dressed and attractive...much more so than you'd see even in NYC.

The rest of the US...trailer trash by comparison

Contrast what I've shared with the typical 20 pounds overweight, poorly dressed, no sense of style, can't wait to be a soccer mom 20-something piglet you see out and about in the states.

Kind of a striking comparison.

Tell it like is brother. All praise be upon the truth.

American women are in general not elegant. There are some, but usually only in NYC or the surrounding areas, and even then usually only as an attempt to fit an image.

im not sure where im going with this other than the fact that your threads are bothering me.

why dont you make one "I wish i was japanese" thread, and have all your gay blogs in that one thread so i know to avoid it.

Well dont you think that going out and seeing lots of countries opens our eyes and shows us new ways to express ourself.

The only issue I have is that it gets tiresome of a guy like Matt that tends to only post "ME" posts and tends to put the average person down.

We've been harsh on other solipsistic people so why not turn the mirror to another turdmuffin that should get a livejournal instead of using this place to stroke his ego.

He will always want to tell us how great he is, its ingrained in every post. So it begs the question why.
Why would a successful person seek to get approval from this board. Sad I think. Signifies emptiness
glad it isnt just me

Japan had 5.5% growth last quarter, FYI...highest in the first world.

I spent 5 weeks in London last year and have an office there with a half-dozen employees. I love it, always have fun there, but it's just like NYC, where I'm from.

Asian cities have more energy than Western cities. And the expense doesn't matter if it doesn't matter.

how this gem get by me. i only read it 'cause its up for thread of the week.

matt hanging out with us is like us hanging out in the projects. two different worlds for the most part. ive wondered why he even bothers, i get the feeling there is only two, maybe three people he even likes and can even relate to on the same level here.

as far as the women, ive always thought the asian women were hot. went to singapore and hong kong and was awestruck by it. i wouldnt make any comparrisons to US women though.

Europe is so amazing

well, at least it was until I moved here

then, after 5 years, you can see already the worn edges and the rust showing (where is my fucking 12 yeats rust-warranty???). Already looks to my eyes like a worn car after a 4.5 year lease? you know? you cannot wait to hit the 5 years and give that dog back?

surprise surprise... it's the same everywhere boy. You cannot compare a place where you go for a short while (up to 1 year) and a place where you actually live.

It was the same with me. I used to praise Trinidad, because deep down I knew all the real problems wouldn't get to me in the time I was going to spend there so I could concentrate on having my phone.

Matt were you move to Japan, you would most likely see this same thing, regardless of living standard.

I read an article in The Times a ways back that said there is like zero population growth in places like Japan. The article said that it has gotten so bad that the government was offering incentives for women to get married and have A CHILD, not children, mind you, just a single child.

If life is so tremendous for Japanese women why would MOST of them not want to consider sharing that life with any offspring?

Not trying to be controversial, just would like to understand.

And I do not necessarily disagree with most of the observations made on the thread. I have not the experience to make a judgement either way as I have never visited the far east.

I guess because of my personal experiences I approach similar situations with what most would consider odd points of view.

Is the only way to mark a happy existence in life to have off spring? My guess is most Japanese woman are choosing career over family.

Absolutely not.

If all of my children were do die today (Heaven forbid) would that mean that I would have less value on this planet? Of course not.

The article stated there is next to zero population growth.

I would say that would indicate a problem in the society itself. Wouldn't you?

Well, it's generally accepted that as a nation's population becomes more "affluent" population growth declines. Agrarian societies typically live in extended families and children are often viewed as their "social security." Perhaps Japanese women actually enjoy their lives so much they don't feel the need to have children? There is a trend in the US among professional women to not bear children or marry. I'm thirty four and have no particular desire for children. People who write these kind of articles often don't take into account factors outside of choice that modify the population growth equation. France hasn't fully recovered from the "hollow classes" created by the loss of male population in WWI! The same is true of Germany, that's why they imported foreign workers. The population of Japan in 1939 was 72 million and they suffered an estimated 2.6 million total deaths during the war (this doesn't account for the casualties suffered in China and Manchuria before Pearl Harbor). In contrast the United States had a population of 132 million and suffered 418,000 casualties, fighting in two theatres. It's easy to see how this would change the potential population of a country after two or three generations.

I totally understand and yes, that IS the case why Japanese women (and an increasing number of American women and women world-wide I suspect) are no longer marrying and choosing to have children. Why on earth would they give up an amazing life that they make for themselves, BY themselves?

TO SERVE A MAN?

I dont think so.

So now there you have it.

The women have finally negated the need for men. They have near equivalent opportunities for education and work as their masculine counterparts; opportunities that their mothers and grandmothers did not have. They can earn their own money and take care of themselves.

BOB negates the need to put up with listening to a sorry man's ass snoring after he gives her "the best 30 seconds of her life". And they can pay Raul to take out the trash and cut the lawn while they get their nails done.

Too damned bad I wasn't that smart. Ah well, live and learn. ;)
