Is this too much for triceps?

Day 1: Chest & Biceps

Incline barbell press
Flat barbell press
Incline dumbell press

Day 2; Legs

Day 3; Rest

Day 4; Shoulders & Triceps

Seated barbell press
Standing dumbell press

Pressdowns
Lying tricep extensions
One arm behind neck dumbell tricep extensions

Day 5; Back and rear delts

Day 6; Rest

All exercises are 3 sets of 12, 10, 8.

Is this too much for the triceps??
 
i see nothing wrong with that. Actually, I think you're better off than me since I do Chest and Tris on the same day. I do 3-4 sets of 10 and I get good work out of it so I wouldnt see how spacing out could hurt.
 
Im doing 9 heavy exercises that envolves my triceps. Im wondering is that too much?

I only do 7 exercises that include biceps, so I dont know if I do the routine above if I will be overtraining my triceps.
 
i wouldn't say it's too much.i think alot of peole under-train their tri's mor than overtrain.maybe change the exercises around a bit,but looks good.go lower on your reps with your main tri exercise and try to log your workouts and increase your weight every week.also try rotating from ez curl bar to straight bar on your main tri exercises.just my .02...........;)

don't you mean sets :confused: or are you doing 9 different exercises :confused: in that case its too much go with 3 different exercises with 2-3 set
 
I would substitute one of those tricep exercises for close grip bench press. You can go much heavier and build them faster.
 
Do all nine of those hit the tri's specifically or do you hit them when doing say bench presses and shoulder presses? IF you are only doing 3 exercises which hit them directly then you will be fine.
