i wanna impress the officers as much as i can..
does this routine look good?
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/luis5.htm
especially the 2nd routine on that page

I used to be in the army and I remember my preparation for the army:2 miles 2un, sit ups, push ups.

DOnt worry about weights as I had a friend who was a BB and at the time he joined the army , he was 215 lb but by the time he finished boot camp he weighed 180lb ..He was so pissed..

For your PT test you wont need any weights. Just run as much as you can and do push ups...try the following sequence: sit ups, 5 min break, push ups, 5 min break, 2 miles run...That will be teh actual PT test..

Just run Forest, run!!

Yeah the army P.T. thing is pretty easy. If you already work out you will be fine. If you really want to impress, practice those three things.

Unless you're planning on going to Ranger school, don't try to impress anyone. Stay low. I thought I'd show off, and it just made life ten times worse for me.

thaibox how come it was worse for you ??

what about doing weights 3x a week
while on the other days doing a pushup/situp/running routine?
just like on that page.. the non weights days do 2 mile run.. pushups 6 x 30 (1minute 30 sec rest rest in between sets), situps 6x30 (1 min 30 sec rest in between)
to help indurance

When I went in, I was in kick ass cardio shape and strong for my size. So, I stood out to the DIs(the tattoos didn't help either). You don't want to stand out. You want to do well, but not the best.

The weak will be fucked with because the DIs want to break them or build them, and the strong will be fucked with because the DIs see potential(or a challenge) and like to build from that.

You going through infantry?
