Is this a good deal for weight equip?

I haven't heard of the brand, but for top commercial- or personal-use quality, EliteFTS sells some of the best, albeit for a non-trivial cost. The workout board might yield more helpful answers.

Good deal for the price. Hoist has been around for 25 some odd years now. That's one of their entry level gyms, one of the first series from the last gen models. Hoist entry level stuff is still better than 90% of the other home gyms out there. Leg extension will be uncomfortable as fuck, same with hammy. You have to step up to the elite base to get their commercial leg ext on the home gyms. You do however have a low and mid pulley, which gives that model a huge advantage over the horribly engineered V2. Squat rack is a nice little addition, at least you'll still be able to get a good leg workout if you decide the Hoist leg ext/hamstring is cumbersome. We'd take those pieces and turn them for around 2k used.

Look for a decent used FID bench and throw that bad boy inside your squat rack and you'll be set. With that one addition you'll be able to add stuff like free weight flat bench, incline bench, decline bench, military press, skull crushers, etc.

Working out exercise equipment

this is the specs on the hoist machine HOIST Fitness Systems - Manufacturer of premium strength equipment for commercial and home use

looking to add a good cable machine to the collection, not too familiar with home gym quality though. deal? ye/ney?

fug me that's expensive.
and plz call me out if you disagree, but why would you waste that much money? a squat rack and adjustable dumbells seems a lot more benefical...seems like the money could be better spent

my search was simply to find a quality cable machine, that's what my downstairs equip was lacking (specifically lats, leg ext) i'm already set to go with dumbells.

The rack and weights in that deal is what got me sold

you're right though, the price of fit equip doesn't beat a gym membership, but i'm going to get into circuit training and that's impossible to do at a gym @ 5-8pm. Piece by piece i'm turning my basement into a gym itself, I bought so much cheap weight equip incredibly cheap of craigs.

Actually, yes, it does, over the long-term. Especially if you have to pay outrageous fees to go local.

This is the best way to go. I advise paying a premium for high-quality equipment that'll last at least a decade. There's lots of crappy Weider home-fitness crap out there that breaks easily.

true ^^

the lady just emailed me a pic of the bench she'd throw in with the stuff, for $50

i'm swoopin it up

nice, good looking out on the review

It's one of my favorite home FIDs. It slides on carpet be advised, anything rubbery it sticks to like glue, doesn't have those rubber end caps like some benches. You also have the option of the HF-OPT4000-01 and HF-OPT4000-02 (leg ext/hamstring and preacher curl). The leg ext option will be much more comfortable than the one found on your home gym. Plus you could do your hammies prone vs the standing style.

cool cool

I went over there tonight and gave her a down payment so I can disassemble it on Sun., I hate doing that shit with weight equip

lady lived in a real nice neighborhood but her husband divorsed her and she got stuck with this mansion, so now she's just selling off his junk she can't use lmao, I snagged two full body mirrors and a Taylormade Burner for $30. I might seriously go over there and drop a stack on all his shit, this is nuts

PM do you got a biz link to where you work or is it more self employ?

he's not really employed, he just spends time at the local fitness equipment store, wearing a pair of stained sweatpants and an undershirt from the mid 90s, chewing on several snickers (king-size) bars while he plays with the machines. sometimes he repeats "light weight!" softly to himself, bobbing his melon-sized head up and down, or perhaps side to side.

lol die

eh pmunk, can you do declined situps with that bench?

Yes you can, 6 positions on the back pad, 3 on the seat. Just take the seat up to the third spot and drop the back pad down all the way (it declines different from most benches, you'll figure it out though). I'd wrap that bar at he bottom that holds your feet, it's coated but still very hard on the ankles. That bar also comes out, just unscrew the yellow handle and then pull the handle outward while pulling up on the bar. That's where your preacher curl and leg ext pieces would go.
