Is there a law on anal sex in the USA?

Im trying to figure out if there is, or in some states. I live in Canada so it really makes no difference to me. Somehow, this question arised during breakfast today, i have no idea how. But now we are trying to find out if it is illegal in USA. I know some of you will say, "no, i do anal everyday"....thats ok lol, but im curious if there is actually a law state or national.

Those laws would be determined by each State. And yes, I would assume some states have sodomy laws.

what are they gonna do tho, peek in ur bedroom window to see if ur having anal sex? sometimes laws like that are weird
I think it probably has to do with some of the bible belt states to deter homosexuality

there are some states that say giving oral sex is illegal. I think these laws are made to throw the whole book at someone.

the law for sodomy is to protect "victims" of sexual assault and is used by the criminal justice system as an "enhancement" for perpetrators...just as a "finger" is considered a foreign object if it is inserted in the vagina or anus...ie: penetration with an foreign object...so if a victim is raped and the perp had anal sex and used his fingers, there would be multiple charges brought against the suspect, not just "rape"....

We have states with these laws on the books. However, Texas actually prosecuted to gay guys for sodomy and convicted them. The case was appealed to the federal Supreme Court that struck down the Texas law as unconstitutional. This pretty much voids the laws that other states have. It's not likely that any other states will want to challenge a precedented Supreme Court decision on this issue.
