Is my testosterone permanently suppressed?

squat-alot

New member
I'm 27 years old.

I did a total of 5 or 6 cycles over a period of two years. I stuck to test, tren, deca, and dbol and never exceeded 1200 total milligrams per week. I followed what I thought to be proper juicing protocol and I always included proper PCT.

Anyway, I'm 15 months clean now and during that time my strength has declined dramatically. I'm a competitive powerlifter and I am now totalling less than I did prior to my two years of juicing.

Being concerned, I went and had blood work done. It wasn't good. Besides having low HDL levels, my total testosterone was 317 on the first test and only 197 when they re-tested. I'm going to be seing a specialist in the near future, but I'm quite concerned. I don't want to go on permanent HRT. I'd like to have more children and return to drug-tested Powerlifting meets (can't do it on HRT).

Will my testosterone and cholesteral levels continue to improve. Or, after 15 clean months, am I basically screwed?

Thanks.

I reccomend you do a aggressive PCT with HCG, HMG, & clomid.

better yet try the AM DBol PCT, do a search and you're set. try gettign intouch with Ulter too.

I agree with this statement. I added some Nolva to the mix with good results. I've been clean for 2 years now and attribute my success to HCG, HMG, clomid and nolva. I tried many different sequences and combos (HCG for 2 weeks then clomid for 4 weeks, then hmg for 2 weeks then nolva for 4 and so on). I haven't bothered to go off the nolva with occasional clomid. Every so often some HCG. Hard to find cheap hmg so good luck with that expense. I'd also suggest buying the powder for clomid and nolva and capping yourself to cut down on cost.

It should put you at ease to know there are no medically documented cases of people becoming sterile because of steroid use if there was not a problem before their use...

How would anyone know if you're on HRT in your powerlifting competitions unless you tell them? Urine tests alone could not distinguish HRT because the parent hormone with the ester isn't secreted, only it's metabolites... Exogenous testosterone is chemically identical to endogenous testosterone. The only way I believe one could be tested whether one's testosterone is endo or exo is by a blood test which attempts to isolate a estered compound. Anything that is estered is exogenous, without question. Ratios are the only thing that is screened that I am aware of.

How bad was your HDL/LDL ratio?

HDL should be much improved after 15 months. You may require medication to improve it and definately improve your diet. My test was 121 or something like that after 6 months being clean but i went back on.

And dont kid yourself. There are plenty of NFL and MLB players that have gotten permission to use steroids from the league for HRT purposes. All they had to do was show they were low to qualify and gee what do you know , all you have to do is come off cycle for 6 weeks and your gonna be suppressed. Thus qualifying for HRT.

Not trying to sound like a smart ass at all but wouldn't your doctor know? He might have had a patient in the past with a similar situation.

They will come back, I have been where you are and everything eventually came back.,

Like mentioned above, do 25 days of Clomid, for another kick start.

My total cholesterol is in the 130's.............my HDL is 22.

um. i was in my early 30's and was suffering the worst depression i ever had to deal with. no energy, no drive. once i started up again, my life changed. for the better. so i pretty much think i was completely shut down, because those problems stuck with me for years before i changed it.

You need to do some niacin also. I would start with 500mgs of non flush then get blood work and bump up to 1000mgs if neccessary.

More than likely a pcp would consult with an endo chronologist to determine what to do.

if your strength is still crashing you can always use some IGF and hGH without suppressing your natty test production. other than that stick with the usuall HCG clomid till your back to neutral

This post worries me. Is low HDL common even after only 5-6 cycles?...How long were your cycles?

2 years = 24 months

Assuming an average cycle is 3 months, you were ON gear for 15 - 18 months of the 24 month period, which doesn't leave a lot of room for PCT and for your body to regain control and balance. All the PCT protocols in the world won't save you if you don't give yourself adequate time.

Sucks.

Deca and some others can shut u down for a long time .. Your body will recover naturally in time .. Another PCT with HCG and Clomid should help a lot .

Thanks for all the advice guys.

My doctor is setting me up an appointment with a specialist. Before I jump on HCG, nolva, or clomid, I will be completely honest with the doctor and seek his advice. Hopefully there is something that can be done to get me back to a healthy state.

Interestingly, just before my final cycle, I got my wife pregnant. So my shit was obviously functional at that point. Then, I started my last cycle which was simply 1000mg of test enanthate for 12 weeks. I will admit to doing a not-so-intense PCT after that last cycle..........but shit, even if I had done no PCT at all, I should have fully recovered by now.

Who knows, maybe I had low testosterone levels before I ever started cycling. When I went on my first cycle of 500mg test and 300mg deca, I was AMAZED how hard my man-meat would get at times. Since coming clean, my hard-ons have returned to moderate stiffness. Functional, but not the iron rods I used to get when juicing.

Even so, I'm struggling to lift weights that I was capable of doing prior to juicing...........so something ain't right here.

do you squat? I just realized your name is squat-a- lot, just checking squats because help me raise my test
