Is it possible to lose 20-30lbs in 5 weeks??

Well I'd rather not steal the glory from this thread. I have a thread somewhere entitled Aggressive weight loss plan :-) there are pics in there from Jan 2 - Jan10 and no I definately do not plan on being as aggresive as I am, I will tone it down after another 2 weeks or so and do something a little more realistic.

Congrats on your loss...... Your progress sounds amazing (Careful not to get sick with this heavy amount of training though )

Do you mean drink lots of water & retain little?

What does your diet look like & what was your beginning BF / current BF%?

Actually, no I meant what I said. The point is...
It is very easy to lose a good amount of weight in the first week of dieting, cardio, and drinking 2 gallons of water a day IF you have not been drinking the water and retaining a lot of water. :-)
hope that clarifies.

It can be done but not in a healthy way.. i don't think some of yuo are getting the point.. losing muscle and fat is not condusive for proper weight lose, nor will it really make her look better ina bikini. Try to lose a reasonable amount. 10 pounds even. and tone up with some weights and try to look as hot as u can healthy

Yes its very possible, but also depends on current fitness level & dedication to the goal at hand, 5 weeks isnt really a long term goal more so a short term goal. I hope you dont mind alot of jogging/running - food intake change - dont really need to train hard though i guess you will work harder as you raise that cardio breathing and endurance, i would train longer and lighter apposed to shorter and harder. Like for example wake early do the "Rocky" morning run: start with 6miles and each week add a mile up to 10miles, stretch well before and after - run 3 times a week. Join a boxing / boxercise gym for some good old jump rope and upper body dynamics.

Well if you really plan on doing this, the only other thing i recommend is not wasting time weight training, as you'll be losing most of the muscle you have left anyway. Just do HIIT cardio, and eat as least as possible. I thought i would never give advice like this since its very unhealthy, but if your gonna do it at least get a doctor to check you out through this period.

Well I have one grip about all the responses.. No one ever bothered to ask any more information from Missprettie. While I highly doubt she has a high enough BF % to do it, it is possible.

FYI for yah.

Missprettie posts up this same question every few months - last I recall was "how to lose 30 lbs by January". Click on her profile and do a search on all her threads before you make a comment about "our responses"

I personally have lost near 15 lbs in about 11 days. .

First off you're a man and you also started at 290 pounds/ 30%bf so you should lose weight pretty quick to start. That and you've been working your ass off (great job btw).

:chomp:

Impossible. If you have a cruise, well I'm sorry to tell you but now you'll start to pay the price for not having enough care to your own body. It feels so good when you taste delicious food. But it feels better when you look at the mirror and you see every day a better shape. So now start thinking in change of lifestyle and build that perfect body. If you are interested of course.

I am surprised that no-one has mentioned DNP yet, I think DNP + a clean diet and the right cardio is the fastest way anyone could possibly lose weight.
