Is Hushmail and EliteFitness.com Email Safe?

First off I don't take this as a flame so all is good.

I do not use Encrypted E-mail with my source and I'll leave it at that so I personally don't care if EF plans to continue to do business with the traitor Hushmail. IMO it is a violation of our duty to protect each other when we continue to do business with shitbags like Hushmail that advertise they promise confidentiality then fuck over their clients.

If we do not protect ourselves nobody will.

If you think it is nice and proper to keep using Hushmail services then go right ahead. If EF wants to continue to do they can too. I personally feel it is wrong to support a company that sold its customers down the shitter and handed over a ton of records to the feds, records they should not have been keeping in the first damn place.

All of this talk of how an extra layer of protection is there is total BS. It would be better to use unencrypted E-mail from an E-mail provider that is under the radar than use hushmail services with elitefitness.com tacked on to it. Which E-mail system do you think the feds are looking at right now? Some po-dunk service provider or a service that promises confidentiality but that cannot deliver in the end.

All I'm gonna say is....if you don't want it found out, don't write it down. Phone calls never happen sometimes, and one of the parties has to know about a tap for it to stick(or so they say, we all know they can really do what ever the fuck they want). Like I said in another post, everything is crackable, I've been doin senior level networking and security for 15 years, so I know. Do I think they'll come to try and put little old me in the joint for say, a couple bottles of test and deca? not really, but they may try and get my wife as an accessory and put her in prison and take my kids away to get me to roll on someone. that's how they do shit. being paranoid is a good thing, embrace it, it may keep your ass out of a bad corner. it's all speculation, unless you have a guy inside the DEA, or NSA, or CIA, you really don't have a clue as to what they really know. I mean, hell, has anyone seen Osama? LOL Seriously though, always play it safe, never trust anyone. No matter what e-mail you use remember that the DEA post arrest of some sources, operated their e-mails for sometime taking orders, collecting funds etc etc. Now whatever you sent to them was readable (encrypted or not) and collated for evidence.

Even with all the high tech security you never really know who you are talking too and incriminating yourself.

The only way to be 100% safe is do not do anything illegal. If you are then there is always a risk.

Remember Hushmail / Elitefitness / Cyber / Safenet etc etc are NOT set up for people to conduct illegal activities. They are set up to protect peoples & companies personal and confidential LEGAL correspondences - confidential.

I have been here for some years and remember all the drama surrounding D N P Guru where basically the LE wanted Elite to hand out all personal information. Basically Elite did not do it putting the owners and the business at risk and having to suffer the financial consequences of the legal action.

Before everyone jumps on the bandwagon maybe you should search on DNP Guru and find out how far some went to protect members where other sources give up passphrases immediately to strike deals putting all their customers at risk.

You are only 100% safe if you are not doing anything wrong thats fact.

Go to an internet cafe, open a hushmail account, order your gear from your source. Go to western union, do what you need to do there, go back to the internet cafe and send western union info and delivery info. Await package.

That way, there is no record of any illegal activity from your home computer. If the source gets busted, they will have your shipping address but that is unavoidable.

Use hushmail as a kind of one and done type of thing. It's just a suggestion.

However, I do believe the NSA would have no problem cracking encrypted e-mail, and I don't think they would necessarily wait to get a warrent to do it. I imagine the NSA is too busy that they don't have time to track gear.
