is a 510 pound deadlift respectable at ......

Taken from a video camera. Anyone who knows anything about powerlifting, knows that you can NOT judge depth from any video unless it is set up at the judges head.

This one looks "borderline" as her legs are freaking huge in size and you can NOT see the crease in her hip (she also has a woman's hips) since it is not from the judge's perspective.

i cant compare with the freaks. that kid must be freaky. i used to train a ton of teenage athletes and a few were freaks. i can believe your numberss as ive seen similar and its crazy.

No matter how much you can lift, no matter how fast you can run, no matter how good you are at what you are doing there will always be someone that can do it better, even if it is just a little bit better.

The key is to worry about your own lifts, your own personal goals and new Pr's.

That is an AMAZING way to put it!!!

And even when some of the World's Best step off the platform...they immediately start thinking about what they want to do next!

Cheers :)

Too many people get caught up in what everyone else is lifting, what is a good amount of weight to be lifting etc.

If you go into the gym with the mindset that you want to be the one lifting the most weight you will always fail. There will always be that one guy that can simply lift more, no matter who you are. Why set yourself up to fail? Worry about your own PR's and focus on the success you've had to get there, lift for yourself not for anyone else.

I've always said some kid benching 135 for the first time in his life deserves just as much props for making a new PR as someone that just benched 405 or 500 for a new PR. Both are bench marks in said persons lifting life, the 405 or 500lbs is more impressive as not as many people can do it, but 135lbs for that kid is like 500lbs for the seasoned lifter. It's all relative.

lotta positivity in this thread. good bros. thanks again everybody.

funny, i was telling 1 guy who was with me when i did 510 that i always wanted to do 3 times my bodyweight but dont think its possible. he immediately cut me off and said dont fail before you even try. just train as hard as you can and see where it goes. great metality to have!

I think 510 is friggin awesome i weigh 212 and dl 475 for 3 reps and let me tell you i hardely even see anyone pull more than 315...people look at you like you are crazy once you get 4 plates on there ...everyone else stops doing what they were doing just to watch. I got the comment the other day "my back hurts just watching you" I cant wait to put the 5th on there  although still wont be in 500 lb club yet

I pulled a PR of 770 today...was pretty happy.

to the OP 510 is very solid at any weight, I've never pulled that. that "chick" doesn't impress me at all...let me see her do a video of even 315 ass to the floor with no suit and I'll be very impressed.
