is a 510 pound deadlift respectable at ......

She is not even breaking parallel with those squats, how do they pass in competition? Power lifting has become a joke.

I was thinking the same thing just along the lines that her stance is so fucking side its like a 1/8th squat. Anyone can do that with a fucking suit and wraps.

ya, powerlifting has such potential to be a great world wide sport, but they are so laxed about what passes for an actual lift these days it's truly become a joke.

Her squat travel was probably 6-8". That's not a squat, it's a 1/4 squat at best.

You know the sport is bad when new "federations" are starting every other day with rule changes that make the lifts easier and easier.

I'll pass that along to Laura.

Till then...suit and wrap up and do it yourself.

Jeeze...the embarassment is the people sitting behind a keyboard who have never unracked a weight NEAR that, much less as a WOMAN.

You ever worn an Inzer Canvas Suit? Know what kind of wraps she has on?

Did she hit "depth" on those lifts...yes she did. She got 3 white lights!

Can't wait to see you suit up man. I hope nobody gives you a single compliment for squatting 4.1x your bodyweight, benching 2.7x your bodyweight, and deadlifting 2.9x your bodyweight.

Sure she got 3 white light's, but that is the problem. The rules are so far gone that she wasn't even at parallel (regardless of the wide stance) and it still passes as a lift.

I am not taking anything away form her or the lifts. She has nothing to do with the rules, only follows them and lifts accordingly. I am saying that the rules as to what qualifies as a lift these days are a joke.

Soon we'll be seeing 1500 walk outs counted as a full squat.

i was thinking the same thing...those are squats?? her legs are almost in the splits and she moves maybe 5 inches? wow

still impressive lifts...but mind boggling those are "squats"

i dont like them either. im not impressed with any shitty squat no matter how heavy it is. i was impressed with her bench.

510 is a very good DL. Especially from (and this is not an insult in any way, just noting a training difference) a BBer.

I think if you work at it, you will be surprised how fast 600 will come. A lot of people seem to make the jump to 600 from the low 5's very quickly. Please note that information is purely anecdotal; I have nothing to back it up other than my observations, and conversations with others.

One BBer I know changed from conventional to sumo once he hit 520 just to change things up and work different muscles. He had to drop weight but in a few months had it back up to his conventional numbers. I asked him if he feel that it helped, and he said it did, but never really quantified what exactly was helped, and not being a BBer I would have no idea.

Not to take the wind out of your sails, but I work out with a 17 year old 168 who pulls 630. I only mention that for the sake of it. Your 510 is still something to be proud of.

i cant compare with the freaks. that kid must be freaky. i used to train a ton of teenage athletes and a few were freaks. i can believe your numberss as ive seen similar and its crazy.

cool. thank you all. i started looking up weight class record holders and felt weak.

I wouldn't worry about it. I weigh 223lbs(mostly fat, only been deadlifting for about 3 months now) and I when I deadlift 225 for 5x5's I scream/grunt like I'm pulling 1000+. Everyone looks at me weird, but it doesn't matter because it's heavy for me. Your 510 is freaken awesome. I couldn't imagine pulling that any time soon.
