Is 2500 IU of HCG EOD too much for me?

My stats:
27 years old
235 pounds

Ive been off all juice for 15 months and intend to remain clean, but recent blood work revealed that my total test was only 197. My doctor sent me to a urologist who put me on the following PCT:

2500 IU HCG EOD for 30 days
10 mg nolva ED for 30 days

After 30 days, he intends to retest my test levels and then give me a month of clomid.

My question is, is that too much HCG? I've never heard of anyone taking a dose that high. Any side effects that I should be aware of? Does this sound like a logical solution to my problem?

I would be worried about gyno at that dose for that duration.
That should definetly get your natty test levels up.

The Nolva should protect you from the negative effects on the Sertoli cells.

The urologist is hitting you hard with the stuff since your test levels are completely in the crapper. If that's all you can make then there's not really much there to damage and the next step is lifelong hrt.

You could mention concerns about aromatization and the need for an aromatase inhibitor. As for the dose, it's high but take a good read through the PCT forum. You'll see even higher doses. If you have concerns then call your doctor and tell him you have worries that you'd like to discuss.

I agree with this. Also note the nolva may help to prevent gyno, though maybe you'll want to take a low dose of an AI just to be sure.

I'm no doctor, but that's a strange-looking regimen... 2500iu HCG is a high dosage, but not if it's taken over a longer interval of time, say once every 5 days.... HCG has a 3-5 day half-life... but 2500iu EOD seems excessive, especially when studies have shown that between 250-500iu is sufficient to raise test significantly. Personally, I run 500iu ED for 10 days for all my PCT's.... Running too much HCG for too long also runs the risk of desensitization of the Leydig Cells. Also, I would think that an AI is better suited to combat possible gyno side effects from HCG, as opposed to Nolva...
