Well, Olympic Lifting coach has officially declared, "Stay away from pec work."
Doing a Tai Chi move for the class I teach - seeing how my arms moved in front, I realize there is some bulk there that may be a problem, so I'm gonna follow orders.
Soooo, may as well make it a little science experiment!!
My pecs, IMO, are not as strong as their size would indicate. Max flat bench dumbell chest press was probably 40# (last time I did chest, benched first, then did DB press with 35# for sets of 6 or so).
I suppose I'll test my max every 2 weeks out of sheer curiosity & document the decline of their strength.
