Inject in your glutes yourself? Best way?

I have an experienced buddy helping to inject into my glute until this week.
For my first pin stick on my own, I chose to stick 2ml into my quad.
That was almost 3 days ago and the pain in my thigh is rough.
The stick went perfect. I aspirated. Got the bubble and slowly pressed it in with a 1" 25g.

I'd like to stick my glute myself next time, but he recommended always sticking in the dead center. That makes it tough to watch, aspirate and pressing in oil. (I'd use a 22g 1.5")

Can I do it from the side? Is there a better way? Or will the difference in the needle just make it a lot easier?

No you dont stick it dead centre, upper, outer part, it is actually a different muscle, gluteius minmus possibly?

I lie face down on the bed, and reach around, no problems at all.
 
I do it just the same way, lying down. Painless, hassle-free.

Don't stick in the middle of the ass-cheek, you'll regret it. You want the medial glute muscle, where nytol2 describes.

Put syringe in right hand then twist around to reach the upper/outer right glute and inject.If for some reason you can"t reach it start stretching until you can.
 
use a mirror :)

upper, outer aspect of the glute. your friend is a moron for suggesting deadcenter of your glute. maybe he wants you to stab your sciatic nerve as a practical joke.
 
I always put my thumb at the hip bone and then extend my index finger while making a circular motion towards the mid/upper part. That gives me my general "good" area to stick. Now, just a matter of being flexible enough to maintain a good rotation to see that and stick it...and stay there through the entire shot.

So basically that is my technical way of saying upper and outer!

i've never done it laying down before. I'll have to try that one. I always do it after a hot shower.. i rest my foot on the bathtub and just stretch around and one hand it. mirrors help out a lot!!!
