In the perfect post workout shake?

Whey + dextrose + creatine + glutamine = all you need. Of course you could take some ALA, CLA , ALCAR and whatever else you wanted but for the shake portion those 4 ingredients are key.

Boring but effective. Personally when dieting I like real food so I tend to get my carbs from something I can enjoy. I usually pound down some whey in a shake with water and then enjoy some Dryers fat free/no sugar added vanilla ice cream. I think the first 4 ingredients listed are maltodextrin, polydextrose, whey protein and something else. Not sure but I'm guessing it's very high on the GI scale and perfect for post workout, not to mention it tastes great. I should borrow my Grandma's glucose meter and test my blood sugar after I eat this stuff :) Has 19 carbs per half cup and no fat so I shoot for 1.5 to 2 cups post workout. Makes a good treat for the day that isn't really cheating since we want this spike postworkout.
