Dude , I have worked in ebusiness. I know for a fact that comapnies such as Kodak have business with third parties who do electronic debiting for Kodak customers. These things happen all the time. When you work with folks who have wrong email addresses and mistyped account numbers and routing numbers and so on , these type things happen. This is the reason why have perl or python or other programming languages are used to "script" transactions to the bank so that human errors do not occur. It doesn't matter if it's Paypal or joe blow IT company in Denver. Some banks are more modern then others. Bank of America for instance has an IT staff, databases and applications which validate these type of transactions before they happen.
Paypal isn't the problem
I disagree.
Having 1st hand exprience with paypal stealing $1000 from me, I would call them a scam. Read paypal sucks and you'll know people do get their money frozen by paypal for 6 months for no reason.
One thing that's being confused here is phishing and paypal itself conducting business. No one is blaming paypal on phishing, it's the other business practices that people get angry about.
I'm not going to fight about paypal, I could care less either way. Let people read and make educated decisions from 1st hand expriences:
