Agreed, but taken in context her words were accurate especially considering the line in her speech that goes:

i guess for me its situational. i have encountered situations as has everyone where i have seen blatant double standard with regard to race and it has angered me as well.

racism directed towards minorites leads to rallies, parades, and court trials.
racism directed towards whites leads to ???
we don't do anything about it, it continues to grow and grow and become commoningly accepted as fact.
and this is what angers me, how we just fold our hands and do nothing about it

It seems like the whole white/minority relationship in this country can be akin to a relationship between a husband and wife where the husband has "wronged" the wife and the wife will forever hold it over his head and use it against him. If the wife ever cries foul against the husband (justified or not) it is allowed because the husband has "wronged" the wife. the wife will always have ears to listen and sympathize, no matter what the current state of the relationship is, because afterall, the husband "wronged" her once upon a time so she is forever martyred and thinks she deserves special treatment now.

i could ramble for days about this...i think a large part of it has to do with middle school education when we learn about race and america's racial history.
