I'm Ready. Determined. But I Need To Know How.

How is it going all?
Well I'm a 24 year old male about 5'7 and I weigh 160 pounds. I am pretty built on my arms but since college I have let myself go in my chest and stomach area. Safe to say I won’t be going to a beach anytime soon.

But I'm trying to truly get past this. Not create a thread and feel better tonight and go back to the same old tomorrow rather I am sick and tired of how my body is at this moment in time and I want to shed at least 15-20 pounds of fat and put on more muscle. My target areas are my chest and abs as well as build more muscle in my arms.

But to do this I need help from you guys out there that are pros at this because I have tried by myself and I feel like I'm getting nowhere.

I signed up for 24 hour fitness and at this moment in time with my school work I can go at least 3 times a week for 2-3 hours and also work out at my home when I am not there.

What should I focus on when I get there? How much time should I dedicate to cardio and to muscle building? Are there certain products I should take while I am going through this process?

Also I am attempting to find foods that I can make fast here at home with all my work but keep to this healthy life style I am trying to maintain?

I know this is a lot to ask but for all that could help you could really be part of helping me change my life. I am determined and willing to do whatever it takes in order to achieve this goal.

Thanks a million for any help you can provide.

In order to accomplish your fat burning goals you have to change your diet first. Figure out your maintenance caloric needs by using the Harris Benedict formula. Google this formula Then you can determine your base. From there you will need to cut 500 cals from that figure for fat loss. You need high protein, good fats, and complex carbs. A great protein powder such a wheytobuild protein at needtobuildmuscle.net is also a great addition to your food protein source. Also in order to achieve a good physique you will have to train to add some lean muscle mass. I would recommend checking out the stronglifts 5x5 routine as it is a great intro into weight lifting. This routine along with fasted cardio a min of 3 to 4 times a week will work wonders. I congratulate you on your decision to change your lifestyle. This is a truly rewarding sport if you stick with it.

Thanks for your response. According to that formula my caloric needs are 1889.475. It's going to be difficult watching calories because this is something that I literally have never done in my life, but that is what led me to this situation.

Ok. I will investigate which food would best fit this new diet.

I have also been thinking about purchasing some of these products:
Controlled Labs Green Bulge
Gaspari Nutrition® SizeOn™ Maximum Performance - Orange Coole
MuscleTech® Creakic Hardcore
Gaspari Nutrition® ANAVITE™
BPI Sports A50™
USPlabs Pink Magic™ BONUS SIZE

I won't be purchasing all of them but i was thinking about picking up at least 1 protein supplement as well as Creatin tablets. Is this a good plan? And is anyone familiar with any of these supplements?

Thanks a million for your vote of confidence. Take care all. I hope to be able to report back in a couple of months with great results.

Do yourself and your pocket a favor bro. Check out the supplement line @ needtobuildmuscle.net. The best quality products known to man and the prices are very competitive. Also if you use the discount code RADAR15 you will get 15% of your entire order. I use these and have tried most of what you have up there and there really is no comparion bro.

Mmmm Ok. I was going to go by GNC but i will for sure give that place a look right now.

But is looking into Creatines a good thing right now to build more muscle? And are there any items in particular from that site that you recommend?

Don't mean to be so inquisitive..just that i'm new to this and nobody around where I live is interested in muscle building.

Definitely bro! This is what we are here for is to help guide members. Ck out the NTKTS pre workout it is excellent. The wheytobuild protien powder is incredible. The Creatine they have rocks. The Creatine would not be a bad idea to add to really pack on some mass. If you want something to boost your natural testosterone the unleashed product from them is absolutely second to none bro. I have tried all of them and there really is nothing out there that compares to the products they sell. Fast shipping, excellent customer service, backed by a money back gurantee. You cannot go wrong with those supps!

Ok. So this is going to be my set plan.

I'm going to purchase the N2KTS and also look for where I can get decent Creatine pills.
Then I'm going to start heading to the gym 3 times per week for about 2-3 hours and workout here at my house at least 2 days. The other 2 days of the week I'll do light exercise to allow muscle recovery. (good idea?)

This in combination with eating well hopefully i'll see some results by late December.

That will work bro you will love the N2KTS. NTBM has the creatine too bro!!!!!!!!

Ck into the stronglift 5x5 workout bro. You want to make the most of all your supps. Change over to it. It is only 3 days a week and will maximize your progressbro. Good luck to ya!
