Sitting here watching a West Side tape...Louie Simmons just said about 10 times...you can not tell if a man is powerful by looking at him from the front. You can tell if he is powerful by looking at his calves, hams, glutes, erectors, rear delts, traps, etc.... Hmmm...and deads work all of these....seems like a given to me:)

B True

So true.

I've grappled with tons of guys who have very developed arms and chests and can outbench me in a big way. It just doesn't seem to convert to functional strength.

Now take a guy with huge traps and a thick back. You'll find that everyone underestimates his functional strength. He may get out benched and out squated but this man is far more difficult to beat.

You can order all the tapes here. Just got the Seminar Video tapes...they are awesome. The only tape that I was not happy with was the Sled Video...someone outside of Westside did it and it wasn't very good...IMO

thanks hannibal.......... you and bfold help a young guy out a lot

hey, check out the "stronger tricep" thread on this board...... you were the first person to reply to it..... check out what i put in last

it might make you feel good

I will second the sled video sucks. That was the first video I bought from them and it was disapointing.

Well you started out on the wrong foot man. The Sled Video is the worst video...it wasn't even done by Westside. All of their videos are awesome. The reactive video is one of their newer ones and it has tons of valuable info...didn't think much of the flexability segment...but fast foward eliminates that. The seminar video is a must have if you cant afford to go to a seminar.

You bought the one bad apple in the basket. Sorry man.

Is this the sled video put out by Joe Kenn?? Just curious because the westside guys all say it is really informative -- hamemade as hell but informative. Dave Tate and Bob Youngs both told me they liked it.

Yeah thats the one. I personally hated it. Didn't really get anything out of it. However someone else might. I just think that if you are on a limited budget as far as training info goes...I would put the sled tape at the bottom of the list. The Reactive Video and The Seminar video are f/n awesome.

I haven't seen the reactive video yet but I have been to a couple of the seminars and they really kicked ass. Dave is one cool dude.

Yeah man. I'm tryin to go to the Aug 25th seminar in Columbus. There is a mastering the squat seminar the next day. Hell just walking in the door of Westside will probably put 50 pounds on my total.
