What do you ladies mix with your tuna? I need some more ideas to make it a little more tasty!

Tuna salad. Again very simple, just put whatever amount of tuna you wish to eat into a bowl, shred some lettuce, grate some carrots, dice up some tomato, and even add a little chopped-up pieces of low-fat cheese and add pepper (if desired). Mix all this around in the bowl and you will have a great tasting tuna salad!

Fish cakes. This is a great one for dinner or a weekend lunch. The amount of tuna you use depends on how many fish cakes you want.
Ingredients: To make about 8-10: 425g tuna (1 large tuna can), 2 eggs, roughly 80-100g cooked rice, and bread crumbs.
Method: Mix all ingredients into a bowl, and now it's very similar to making burgers. You need to make sure you have a good consistency then divide up mixture by getting small handfuls and rolling them into balls, making sure there are no cracks, then flatten them out like a burger. You have now successfully made fish cakes.

Cooking: They can either be cooked under a grill or in the oven.

I use no-sugar relish and no fat mayo sometimes...I like mine with mustard and onions

Thank you!! I have heard people mix mustard and it seemed a little weird. I will have to try it out.

Lemon Pepper Tuna

This is very simple to make. Get out a pan. Spray with some no calorie non-stick spray. Dump the tuna in the pan. Sprinkle with some lemon pepper (You can buy this already premixed). Turn on the burner and let the tuna cook. Stir the tuna periodically. Once the tuna is either warm, cooked, or burnt, depending on how you like it, throw it on a plate and you're ready to rock and roll. You could also throw this in some tupperware and eat it later. It still taste good cold. The only thing this adds to the nutritional value of tuna is a little sodium.

Tuna and Egg

Get out a pan. Spray with some no calorie non-stick spray. Dump the tuna and egg up a bowl. Stir them together. Once mixed together, pour in the pan and allow to cook. Once the egg is totally cook, add pepper and salt, if wanted, and eat. Adding cheese also tastes very good with this combo. The egg adds, 5 grams of fat, 8 grams of protein, and 1 carb.

Worcestershire (Cheese optional) Tuna

Also very simple to make. Get out a pan. Spray with some no calorie non-stick spray. Dump the tuna in the pan. Pour some Worcestershire sauce on the tuna then begin to cook. Cook to desired texture then eat. To add some more flavor, you can throw a slice of cheese on this. When the tuna is done cooking, turn the burner off, put the cheese on, cover the pan with a lid, and let the cheese melt on the tuna. Adding just the Worcestershire only adds about one gram of carbs to the nutritional total. The cheese, depending on what kind, adds about 5 grams of protein, 2 carbs, and 0-10 grams of fat.

You have to do something with it lol...I will just eat it plain on salad..It is the one fish I like...The Lemon pepper tuna by sunkist is yummmmy straight out of the package!

Cajun Tuna

four 6 oz. fish fillets
1 tbs. Cajun Spice( recipe to follow below)
4 tbs. unsalted butter
1 tbs extra virgin olIve oil
1 lemon-for garnish

Homemade Cajun Spice:
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp chili powder
14 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried thyme

Rinse fish under cold water and pat dry w/ paper towels.

Mix all the cajun spices together and store in a jar and shake the hell outta the jar(lol). Rub mixcture on both sides of fish.

In aheavy saucepan, cast iron skillet works the best-IMO- heat butter and oil over high heat. When pan is VERY hot, add fish fillets and cook 2-3 minutes per side, until spices are dark and fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Serve with lemon wedges.

ENJOY!
