What the hell, im bored so im trolling for some ideas. All I do for my Bi's directly is dumbell curls. However, as with most gyms, they go in 5lb increments. Now, once you get up thier in weight, 5lbs per hand is a pretty big jump so I was curious what, if anything, some of you guys use to increase the weight of dumbell curls in smaller increments?

Some gymns have magnetic weights you can add to the dumbells in small amounts!! You might be able to buy those, and take them with you in your gym bag, add what you need!

I generally use barbell curls as my favorite mass builder as it's easy to add 2 1/2lb plates, where as you're right about the dumbells, 5lbs per side increase is a lot.

Ive been avoiding straight bar (or even ez curl bar) exercises since it seems to aggrivate my tendonitis. Last week I did 12 curls per side with my weight so this week I grabbed the next bigger bells and damn! Dropped to 7 reps :(

same thing for me at my gym;it is for this reason i use cable curls, either one arm at a time,or both together.u can use 2.5 plates and position it thru the pin on the stack...u can increase by 2.5 lbs each time...once you conquer the stack, well you can basically put a 5lb,10lb,25lb,etc...cable curls have improved my overall arm development and i have been using quite some cable movements for tri's as well...constant tension feels great...---fyi

ps:drops sets work excellent w/ cables as well...try it while on tren...YIKES.

Zyg:

Superset Inlcine DB curls with regular db curls. Pick a weight that will allow failure on the inclines ~rep 8. When fail stand up and immediately pump out a few more reps.

Do 4 supersets and finish of with two sets of incline hammer curls and two sets of concentration curls.

Ooooh Yeaaah!!! I usually do 3 sets, first two normal and the last I do a drop. Start at my normal weight shoot for ten reps, drop to about 50% of that and go to failure and then drop again to about 60% of that and go to failure again.......almost brings tears to my eyes :)

ahhhhh Zyg you big sissy...stop your crying...i know you're loving every minute of tren...hehehe.instead of going starting weight, then 50% decrease, try the down the stack method...for instance...starting weight 150 x 10,then 140 x amrap,130 x amrap, etc until your arms are screaming for excedrin w/ the last few weight stacks...try it...you'll be crying like a lil' scholl girl...people at your gym will be watching the "ZYG"man crying while repping out w/ 30lbs cable curls...lol...but the results will be satisfying to say the least...
