I want big quads!

Help me here bro's,my legs are toothpicks and i cant get em to grow,i get only strength increase but they wont grow,make me a leg workout routine.but no squats in it because the gym where i workout has only old and weak people so its not fun to have these kind of people as a spotter,and i hate to do heavy squats without a spotter.
 
Guy you gotta squat unless there is something wrong with your back. That is a "SERIOUS"mass builder." Check out the other boards like "HOW MANY SQUAT SETS DO YOU DO" and some others.

There are many varations to squats but nothing like it.

Myself and Needsize both recommend the 5x5 lef routine. as you well see in the board listed above. Don't count the warm up sets either. That is how I gained mass to my quads.

Stiff Leg Deadlifts
Good Mornings
Donkey Calve Raises
Standing Calve Raises

NONE match up to "SQUATS"

I am probably going to get flamed for this :jump: but do you have access to a Smith machine? I squat using one for a change up sometimes and for one reason or another I feel in more in my quads that I do regular squats.

It's just this simple, you can not build big quads without heavy squats. If you don't have a decent spot, squat in a power rack so that the supports will catch you if you fail. But if you want decent quads that bad, you will find a way to squat big.
