That just happen's to be a sore spot with me,
I have 5 people working for me that are constantly
surfin during work hours and I've warned them
repeatedly. I'd like to sack em. But they are
too damn hard to replace (ie: their technical skills).
It is stealing from the company, we all do it.
I just don't think it's right to complain when you
get caught with yo hand in the cookie jar.

The IT guy where I work can sign into my computer so I only surf when he is at lunch.

I have actually sat and watched him work on my computer. I never know when he is going to log on, so I try to be very careful.

I hope they don't fire you.

What type of Remote administration tool does he use, Peach? VNC, PCAnywhere? It should be in your Start/Programs unless he moved the default install. If so, smart guy.. but search for *PC*Anywh* or *V*N*C*. If it's VNC, just change the password... PCAnywhere I have not used in awhile, so I couldn't say offhand.

My company views web-surfing as a necessary evil and something they cannot eradicate.
So, we can surf openly as long as our work output is not negatively impacted.

Heh-heh! That would be fun, but alas we are a small company and he would run his happy-ass over here to fix the problem. I would rather not have him here. I don't even like talking to him on the phone. Think slow and nasal.

I see the value in giving them access and I
wouldn't care if they used it discreetly and got their
jobs done......but they waste hours on-line
and then get nothing done on time and complain
that they are swamped in work.
Especially after being warned before......

As for AAP....I am allowed to go on the internet so that really doesn't apply to me and No I have never been warned for anything such as this. The above quote thanks to the hard work of thebabydoc (so named because he acts like a fucking infant) should let everyone know what I do for a living now. My production would actually go into the amazing rage. I have taken on 3 other peoples jobs on top of my own and I get them all done without problem or complaint. I don't know what they will do if they get rid of me since they have no one that can do my job. I am doin all these other jobs and all the other office help is now non existant. It would take them about a year to train someone to take over my position and that would still leave all those other jobs undone. Oh well Fuck em.

I do not know what program they use. I guess I could find out....It is done through the home office in another state .........
