Hi I'm new to the forum just researching about new ways to build my physique and excel properly in the sport, learning about AAS but not planing to use them for about 6-7 years. I'm 19 and I have no libido, no sexual desire or anything like that.. I'm on psychosis medicine called seroquel xr and for the past 2 years I have had no sexual desire. I was just wondering could this be because of the medicine, I've researched a lot and I know this medicine causes prolactin increase and cortisol decrease, but im just not sure if its the medicine or me. I train 4 days a week, eat very clean and lift heavy. Can anyone shed some light on this topic, also I have done a blood test for my prolactin levels(waiting for the results).

Thanks

I have seen the doctor he thinks its the prolactin causing my testosterone to drop just looking for a second opinion for any one with information about this problem never the less thanks for replying.

I'm no doctor but...

Even without a drop in testosterone, prolactin will crush your libido. Prolactin is the hormone your body releases after orgasm and it is the reason you don't feel like having sex again for a good while.

BB'ers use dopamine agonists like Bromocryptine and Cabergoline to reduce prolactin. However, your anti psychotic works because it is a dopamine antagonist so these drugs would directly interfere with your medication.

What you need is a Selective Prolactin Receptor Modulator which can block the effects of prolactin at the receptors. S179D Prolactin is the only one I know of and I'm not even sure if your doctor could get it.

You could also try raloxifene, which is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) which has been shown to reduce circulating prolactin levels.

Thanks for the reply its making more sense to me now, where would you be able to get the serm, or can a doctor prescribe this. I feel so fatigued through out the day and I need something to help also am I prime to more injuries like this? Because I recently hurt my shoulder, doing my workout which has never been an issue before?

Thanks

Yes, I doctor can prescribe Evista (raloxifene) if he's willing to.

Apart from that, source talk is forbidden on this board.
