I need a little help on my leg workout.

I have noticed the last few times I have worked out that my knees have been hurting during my workout. At least when I am doing squats. The last time I only used about 185, then I dropped to 135 and it was the same thing, pain. Nothing unbearable, but I don't want to make it worse if it's a real problem. Well, I have taken about 3 weeks off from working out totally and I'm ready to get going again. If the problem persist, what do you guys recommend ? I'm all natural at this pointand about 245-250lbs, 6'5" and I don't realy know what % I am. Thanks for all of your advice in advance.

I'd have to see you squat to really tell you if there is an issue and what it is. I am assuming you use a closer-moderate stance. I would advise sinking them as low as you can get, as this transfers the stress from the knees to the hips, which are much stronger and better suited to handle it.

The only squats that should be stopped at or a little below paralell is the wide-stance powerlifting-style squat, as the knees do not come forward at all. Olympic squats should be burried as low as you can possibly get.

Also, make sure you are in control of the movement and are not bouncing at the bottom. Also, see if you are breaking at the hips. Don't break at the knees and dive forward.

what part of your knees?

I guess I should probably add that you should always check with a Dr. to make sure you don't have any sort of serious issue.
