I Need A Bigger Neck......

Just like it says i need a bigger neck for some reason my neck is long and skinny ive treid a few things.....never used weights for it though.....

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY NECK ROUTINES OR ANY ADVICE.....

take 2 towls and a 25 five pound weight now put the towl inbetween your forehead and the weight

now do presses with your neck, fifty a day up the weight after 2 weeks

Believe it or not, barbell shrugs helped me build a pretty big noggin stem (21"). I wasn't anticipating that, but it was welcome all the same.

i used to look for neck thickeners, but the best for me were power cleans and some resistance work with a towel, no direct weights work, just cleans and resistance work worked well.

thanks brosi wish there was a neck machine at my gym or i have seen those neck builders that you wrap your head up with the straps and use weights but that was yrs ago in a sporting goods catalauge...

Picture this. you grab the heaviest dumbells (or 2 ezy curl bars if you are B fold) then walk while holding onto the dumbells.(one in each hand) walk as far as you can until you have to drop them

When I look in the mirror I usually see a pretty big neck, so I figure most guys will get away with no direct neck work if they are shrugging, benching, rowing, etc. with free weights.

One good light rehab style exercise that is good is just take a small plate (10 lbs or 2 X 10 lbs) and wrap in a towel, then lie face down with head off the side of the bed... wrap weight on back of head and gently lift up and down...

Go easy on direct neck work if you don't really need it for sports. Too much compression here can screw up the spine, cause nerve irritation, etc.

Also, avoid car accidents.
