I just finished one of the best books I've ever read.

It's called "The Things They Carried", by Tim O'Brien.

Another good book along these lines is "Parachute Infantry," by David Webster. If you've read/watched Band of Brothers, he was the guy from Harvard. His writing is top-notch, and he is nothing like the ass they made of him in the TV series.

Hey,I've been meaning to get this one.
The best "fiction" I have ever read would be Chris Ryan's "the watchman" and also "tenth man down." Both excellent books.
