I've read on Muscle Media that you either born with big calves or you aint. But as hard as you work them, you'll never get them bigger.

From my personal experience calves are largely genetic (I was blessed with "obscenely huge calves", at least in comparison to the rest of my body) but as my training partner has experienced, you CAN make them grow with lots of effort.

I know your kind ya bastad!!!! Like God dropped a couple of grapefruits in there sometime after puberty. Unfair I say!!!
 
Maybe it is the size of my thighs that make them look small..yeah...that's it. They are 18"...but I'm gonna tell myself it is because my quads and hams just over power them:)

Ok, I have already posted this as a new thread, but seeing as this one also pertains..

I have a problem with my calves like the person who started this thread. Anyone know any good exercises/routines that will really blast 'em?
 
If I trained them...they would grow. I just hate training them.
