:worried: Well guys here goes. I finally decided to get in shape and the main reason being because my buddys kinda big and he looks awesome. He has been working out for years. So I read around and found all the information I could about dieting. I went down to my local gym and signed up. Because I was the 3rd member in my family I found out I could join for a mere $20/month! I weighed myself before I started and I was at 145 pounds. So I want out and bought a ton of healthy food. So heres the diet I tried. I ate this every day for a week the only things I would change sometimes was the order in which I ate things. Some times I would have switched the times I ate the cottage cheese and the chicken. Im not sure how many cals this is. I never added it up. So here goes:

I would wake up around 9-10 am.

Around 9-10 am: Breakfast - I ate about 8-10 egg whites

Around 12-1: I would work out for about an hour of intense training and then have a post workout shake. The shake would give me about 200 cals or so.

Around 3-4: I would have one Lauras lean ground beef patty. (To get my fats for the day as it has like 9g in one patty)

Around 5-6: I would have some chicken brest with some green beans.

Around 6-8: I would have some cottage cheese mixed with fresh fruit.

And there you have it. Several times during the week I would get on and off stomach pains. I just figured the pains were a good sign and that I was just in pain because my stomach was loosing fat/inches off of it. But now after reading some more I think this is not good and that five pounds in one week sounds like way to much. I am trying to gain some muscles like my buddy and loose my stomach. Something is not right. Maybe my body is telling me I need more carbs? I should drink more water as well as I don't think much. Maybe I should also take a multivitamin or something. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Well, the burger certainly isn't the best choice to get fats in.. your 145lbs..you probably should be trying to gain weight instead of lose it.

Anywho, 5lbs in a week isn't necessarily uncommon at first, as most of it (hopefully) was water weight. Your cals seem low, but now low enough that you are putting your lbm in much jeopardy. Make sure you are taking in at least 2k cals if you are staying active for a healthy cut
