I don't get it.....

Watched some show last night where a guy went away to war and his wife got very chubby while he was gone. He came back and said he was shocked with how fat she got. He could only have sex with her while the lights were off, but yet this guy was about 5'9 and 300 lbs of fat.
I have a former friend like that. She is HUGE and very very unattractive and would only want to date hot guys and would ignore the not so hot guys?

What is that about? This happens a lot!

Some people have a skewed perception of themselves.
 
it's popular sociology, at it's best. self-esteem sometimes goes too far, causing such skewed inner views of ones self. physical pain seems to be the best route as far as discouraging the ravenous appetites of fatties, as one can hide under a blanket and eat to avoid criticisms.

Exaclty, yet she didn't say one bad thing about his weight.

This was a TLC show about plastic surgery. She lost 100 lbs and was getting the extra skin off her body removed.
her tubby hubby was all happy (and still beefy) and was like "Oh it feels so good to touch her again"
Ugh.....she'll be dumping his butt one day. She was BEAUTIFUL by the way. Even when she was large.

NOOOOOOOOO never. She always got guys with no teeth and who looked like they were serial killers, but she always went for the hot guys.
If some guy would msg her on her on line dating profile and they were just ok, she would call me and say "look how ugly this guy is"

I don't talk to her anymore, but I see on her facebook she's with a decent looking guy, so maybe it does pay off to keep trying. And I mean it when I say she is horribly unattractive.

Good for her holding out. Hope she got what shes looking for but then again could you see his teeth in those pictures or lack of. I knew some guy who lived with a women that was down right scary looking but she supported his lazy addicted ass. Never know what or who someone will live with to get what they want.

i know some people like that. theyre the ones who have bought into their own bullshit, and have a warped self image. most are guys though - they think its okay to be 30 years old, 100lbs overweight, have back hair that starts in their asscrack and ends at their knuckles, smoke their lungs out, crack jokes that make throwing a pie at someones head look like sophisticated humour, yet they earnestly chase 18 year old girls and get REALLY ANGRY when the girls pick some guy their own age.

it would be so nice if everyone in the world had the atttitude that you get as good as you give, and embarked on self improvement rather than delusionment. oh well

it seems men have a tougher time with their women getting chubby, but many women are ok with it.
I mean I don't want my man getting obese, but I would not care if he had some extra weight.

you can't change how someone feels. you CAN'T FORCE someone to have sexual feelings for someone. Can I force you to be turned on by a naked 70 y/o? If i snapped my fingers, and made you into a 70 y/o too - will you automatically get turned on by him?

He was stationed in Asia and he was already overweight before he left. It was his wife that gained the weight while he was gone.

And agreed, you cannot force attraction, so then he married his wife for all the wrong reasons.
If his wife got cancer and lost all her hair, should he be disgusted?

Still seems hard to believe. I've known guys and ladies who have had a hell of a time keeping their weight within regulations in the military, they use the BMI index and give people hell if they're on the high side, including weight lifters who aren't fat at all. I'm incredulous about anyone being able to serve while obese.
