Is it a good idea to do early morning cardio on an empty stomach, then afterwards do my regular workout??? Should i down a protien shake after the cardio or after the workout??? Plan on starting soon so any help is appreciated...thanx fellas!

Cardio before Lifting is not ideal.

To maximize the fat burning effects of cardio, your supposed to wait 30-60 minutes before your recovery meal.

Whey shake right after your workout is a must.

thanx.....im trying to burn fat and bulk at the same time wich seems to be contradictory....any suggestions on the best way to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated....

The body is really bad at doing both at once, but you could pull it off. It would probably entail really meticulous food management. AM cardio on an empty stomach to burn the fat, then do your workout and overeat like a mofo afterward. I suggest whey before cardio to minimize muscle loss. Then maybe another shot of whey after the workout.

From my own experiences you can either add mass or lose fat....in order to burn fat, you need to burn more calories than you ingest...in order to gain mass you need to ingest more calories than you burn....it is as simple as that, so not to be discouraging, but it is basically not gonna happen if you plan on bulking up and getting lean at the same time....I nunderstand what you mean though, and it is possible to eat a lot of clean calories and cut out the shit to change your body composition and gain muscle mass, but you cannot g for size and try to be shredded at once.....unless of course you consider AAS, but then there would have been no need for you to post this.

thnx for the input....and ive done more than considered it.....but my source moved out of state...been struggling ever since.

Yes, unless you start to smell the faint smell of ammonia/nitrogen/piss. This is an indication that your body has started to break down muscle (high protien) instead of fat, or blood sugars. The by-product of utilizing protien for energy is nitrogen. Because of the capilleries in your nose you will have that faint smell in your nose. In that event - eat some carbs ASAP to immediatly curtail the use of your body's muscle for energy. Also take note of how hard you went during that session and reduce it next time.
