how would it change your life if you made 400k to 500k year? what would you do?

I wouldn't change things too drastically. I'd take two really good vacations per year, I'd have Montreal Canadiens season tickets, and I'd buy up some real estate as a long-term investment.

do you think you would "change"? would you become a classist? how would it effect your life? lots of people say they wanna be rich, but is has been my experience, very few really want it.

Nothing would change. I already make three times more than what I spend in a year (I just have very few things I splurge on). I'd get to my net worth retirement goal earlier, I guess....that's about it.

I'm the only one on EF who admits he makes less than $100K a year :(

HAHAHA everybody look! He makes less than 100,000 per year!

I bet he also has less than a 13 inch cock.

What a loser! unlike all of us.

(I don't make squat compared to people on EF or in big cities, but I also have a stress free life and job so I really couldn't care less. Materialistic people are often the least happy.)

I've been vicariously that wealthy before. (It wasn't my money. It was his). I didn't become classist. However, I wouldn't want to work as hard as it takes to make that kind of money. It would be very stressful and take too much time away from family. Now, if I won that sort of money in the lottery or came by it some way where I could still be with my son lots, that would be great. People with that much money are no happier than anyone else. I've known lots of people who make that much, and most of those people were less happy than I was.

500K is rich, but not wealthy.

Not even rich anymore. If it's salary it's ok, but commissioned employees are really the only ones that can hit that regularly and they're either 1099 or taxed at close to 40% if they're payed W2. After that, $300K is good, but again, not that much.
