How to get 100+ lbs of free meat

A buddy of mine took me deer hunting about 2 years ago. We were out all day and never even saw a deer. We were pretty bummed. We started shooting anything (in season or not) and I shit you not, on the way home he HIT a deer with his car and we loaded it in his truck. It was the funniest thing ever. True story.

I hit a deer with my car on the interstate(second time this has happened to me too)..I had the deer loaded up and taken to a slaugterhouse..lots of good meat

Ever heard of adrenaline? A deer that gets killed on adrenaline tastes bitter and you won't get the meat soft and well done either. I live around alot of hunters and I don't want to bs you. It's true.

LOL dude what the hell is this crap?! I'm a hunter myself, have killed many deer in my day....deer that were running for their lives from my walker hounds.....you wanna tell me their adrenaline wasn't pumping?

That is a total "urban legend" (I wouldn't even call it a legend b/c this is the first time I've ever heard it mentioned). The ONLY difference in taste you will find is

a) Between a young deer and an older deer.....older deer have tougher meat...younger deer tend to be more "tender"

b) Whether you let the game hang for a few days to "cure" or not....it lets all of the blood solidify and the moisture in the meat to dry....gets the "gamey" taste out of it.

Maybe that's what you're talking about.

i've heard that too, buy checking the meat you can test whether the animal has been killed humainly or not.
