They'll only give you the fresh stuff, that hasnt been split and has been picked up within an hour of the collision. If your willing to gut it and hang it yourself you could eat for a year.
Plus game meat is LOADED with omega 3's.
So your eating roadkill... get over that and theres nothing wrong with it.

I actually kept a deer that I hit one time though, on the way home from hunting, hadn't gotten a single shot off all week, so it was like a little bonus from above.

Our neighbor hunts dear, so when my dad hit one a while ago.. that's who he called. And guess who gives us free venison.
