How should I get my sodium? How do you get it?

Synpax

Well-known member
The Synpax Diet (oats, protein powder, flax seed oil, dextrose, water) lacks sodium. Any suggestions on how I can work this in?

Too much time required for that. I probably need 2000 mg a day.

Thinking about salting my oats.

Thinking about salting my oats. I just seriously don't like salt's taste.

Hmm. That is a good idea; I will investigate. If you know a good source for salted items please let me know. Thanks.

I mix the flax into the oats, not the shake. Dextrose goes into PWO shake.

I will look into the NPB, though. That sounds like the most reasonable and inexpensive route.

ummm, most protein powders have roughly 1:1 ration of potassium and sodium - if your diet revolves around shakes that should be sufficient. If anything in a good diet ration of K+ to Na+ should be 2:1/3:1 -> my suggestion is: don't add any more sodium. Besides if I remember correctly you're doing some endurance training (5k in 19 mins was it?) - Potassium Citrate would do you very good, not sodium.
