once a week...usually friday or saturday when i go out w/ my friends cuz its hard to eat what i usually eat then.
its not recommended to eat the same every day, as your body gets used to the cycle. you hafta keep your metabolism up with a calorie overload day. i really dont wanna call it a cheat day cuz people (like me before) take it that you can eat everything and anything you like. you still want to eat healthy foods...just a lot more. its okay to have pizza as a meal tho on a -overload day-
I NEVER CHEAT BECAUSE IT WOULD BE CHEATING MYSELF-the whole key to a strict diet is mental discipline-if you don't have mental discipline, you won't have good results.
I try to keep my diet as clean as possible. I don't schedule a cheat day once a week like most people, because they feel they have to reward themselves for working out. But sometimes it's just inevitable, I get sick of tuna and chicken breasts.
I've been on a low fat and limited calorie diet with plenty of cardio (2-3 hours a day) for about 5 weeks now, and I cheated for the first time last Saturday.
I gave myself a weight goal and told myself that when I reached it I would take a day off (which is what I did).
I have told myself that I will get another day off when I reach my next goal. At the rate it's going that will be in a couple of weeks' time.
I watch it close during the week and loosen up on the weekends. I don't go crazy but I may have a burger with my kids one-day and drink a few beers and eat some junk with my friends when we are out. This way it seems to jump-start my metabolism and helps with the cravings I get during the week. There is no way I could eat strict 24/7 I like food to much. This way seems to work for me I'm maintaining about 10% BF and I don't suffer withdrawals from missing all the junk food I like!
