It’s a good question actually, not counterproductive at all. Cutting down is more about eating the right amount of food, not just avoiding things.
Yeah, junk food like pizza, burgers, fries, and sugary drinks should be limited — but you don’t have to cut them forever, just not often. Red meat isn’t bad either if you keep portions small and don’t eat it all the time.
Focus more on simple, whole foods. Things like chicken, fish, eggs, beans, rice, oats, veggies, fruit — those are solid for weight loss. They fill you up without a ton of calories.
Try to avoid super processed stuff like candy, chips, sauces loaded with sugar, and big portions of bread or pasta if you’re not tracking it. Keep it simple, don’t overthink it, and stay consistent. You can still enjoy food while cutting weight.
