How often do you change your workout?

after one month of training...just change a couple of the exercises keeping stuff like dead, squat, and bench always in there...

Based on feel...either for stale interest or to spur on new progress. Sometimes it's just the order of exercises or small adjustments in rep ranges. Other times it's a wholesale change in the workouts. Then only thing that hasn't changed in a long time is my split. I like it too much and it keeps certain things spread apart for recovery, etc.

With the exception of squats and deads being first on leg and back day, I change things around every time I lift.

ill probably stick with a routine for like 2 months. in those 2 mo. i like to throw things around too. a new exercise here and there. more reps/less reps, etc. seems to work well.

I NVR DO THE SAME WORKOUT TWICE IN A ROW. EVEN IF ITS JUST CHANGING THE ORDER OF EXERCISES. I USUALLY SUBSTITUTE A COUPLE EXERCISES FOR EACH BODY PART EVERY WORKOUT THOUGH.

I only change when gains stop. there is no reason to keep changing your routine just becaue it has been x weeks or x months.

if it's not broken, don't fix it.
