How often do you change the pin you use to draw from?

I never reuse needles, but I'm talking about the pin that I constantly use to draw the test and EQ from. The other day, after a few weeks into the cycle, I noticed the pin a bit dirty. Just wondering if you guys always throw away that pin, keep using it througout the entire cycle, or change it often..

each time i go to inject i always use two pinz. one to draw one to shoot. everytime! never reuse even to draw! well i dont ;]

i always use fresh pins everytime. i've had an infection before so guess i'm just paranoid now but better safe than sorry IMO.

I always shoot with the same I draw. A new one each time of course. Not even a drop of blood comes out so I guess I'm a good shooter.

Your draw Pin doesn't need to be changed...maybe after each cycle. Keep it in a zip lock baggy, and if you do see something on it, clean it up by dunking it in rubbing alcohol.

I draw all my shiznit with an 18GA, and I have 2 seperate draw pins: one for water based and one for oil.

I shoot all my stuff with a 22GA

Bad advice bro, a ziplock bag isn't sterile.

Bro, a fresh pin goes in so much smoother. When you stick a pin through that rubber top it dulls it and the more dull the pin the more damage (scar tissue) is done. Breaking the skin anytime causes trauma, a fresh shrp pin reduces the trauma. You should reconsider IMO especially since pins run about ten cents each

i just dropped 120 bucks for pinz, and sryinges lol different pin for everything everytime......... been doing this a few years never once an infection or abcess............. way to cheap to even risk it even if risk is slim so what drop an extra 20 bucks ....... thats my take...

Holy cow, I can spend 30 dollars and buy enough pins to last me 4 20 week cycles.

Damn bro, are those pinz made out of platinum? That's alot of fucking money for pinz and syringes.

2 pins every time. No reason not to and it is just safer. not changing your drawing pin seems like an unnecessary risk.

I draw with an 18g use the same on over and over (oil only). then use a fresh pin for a few times rinsing it with alchohol after each use. if i had a ton of them I would use a new one each time. low on pins right now is all. for gh i reuse for each mix then switch

Once you unsheath that pin, it is no longer completely sterile. Bacteria begin to grow almost immediately. Also, as the pin dulls after reuse, the larger the hole it will make in the rubber cap. This may lead to contamination of the oil, and most certainly will increase your chances of developing an abcess. Two pins, safely, everytime.

I preload a wks worth or so w/ the same pin and then toss it.
I wouldn't ever keep a pin around to save 10 cents.

1 new pin to do the entire job works 4 me everytime no problem but as soon as i get my order hell ya rather be safe then sorry cuz 10cent a neddle is excellant 10cent insurance or 1 neddle can = $100+ "doctor" so the guys here saying 2 needles are smart for payng 10-20 cent a couple times week "insurance" i think you got to be a cheap fuck not 2 pay for insurance that cheap shit from now on im going to use 2 needles i had no idea cuz i always see doc.use the same needle 2 draw and insert but im going to use 2 from now fuck that

mate if your using the same pin to draw over and over again you will seriously get an infection sooner or later (you might as well never change your injecting needle) cause that is effectively what you are doing....

Are you using one of those magical zip lock bags?
You know the one that sterilize itself and its content.
The tooth fairy brought mine.

HUH???
:worried:

I'll use the same 18ga to draw if I run low. The BA in the oil should keep the oil sterile. I also swipe the top of my bottles with alcohol before and after every draw. But I always use a fresh 25ga to inject.

Never reuse the pin once used it is no longer sterile you are infecting your vial when you stick a used pin in it. Do yourself a favor and use a new pin. By the way I use the same pin for drawing and injecting then discard.

BA does not kill germs it stops them from multiplying

the needle dulls quite a bit even after just going through that thin rubber membrane. Use two pins.

why reuse anyways? you can buy ~~ 100 pins for 7 bux

Dude, your like 12, you didn't even graduate kindergarten...as long as you clean it with alcohol, the chance of anything happening with your draw pin is slim to none. I have been drawing with the same pin for 15 weeks, no probs. I always preload as well, and obviously always use a new pin to shoot with.

bro, now thats funny, cause only a Immature person would make a comment like that. saying dude your like 12. jesus your clearly not far of that age your self to make an uneducated quite frankly country bumkin comment like that.

firstly lets get some facts in, as your clearly misunderstanding sterile techniques and microbiology. wiping dpwn with alcohol does not mean sterile it just means clean. do you know the difference between antiseptic or aseptic for example? i wouldn't have thought so. secondly, wow you have been shooting for 15 weeks, mate i've been shotting for over 15 years.

thirdly we do not have kindergarden in the UK nor do we have to graduate from school.

forthly if you gonna come back at me with a comment because someone has picked you up please make it a mature witty comment and not something from the playground of a primary school.

thank you

dude why argue...soon the gooch is gonna be the gimp..when his leg becomes septic and they have to amputate...then hell post a thread..I have an absess help....all you can do is offer correct advice and hope people are smart enough not to take risks with their lives...not everyone understands how hard it is to get rid of a blood infection..

very true, shouldnt have risen but just pissed off this morning, personal issues you know

thanks for input guys...funny thing is since I haven't done injectables in quite a while, I had forgotten that I always used to use 2 pins while doing so. It was only when taking the oldschool liquidex and recently liquid T3 that I used the same needle to draw from, simply because I was drinking it rather than injecting it...

dif needle to inject everytime but Ill use the same drawing needle and syringe like 5 times.

Only 5 times?? Why not go for 10? What's the difference right? Ur contaminating the whole vial of gear when u re-use the drawing needle.

Reusing pins or syringes is just plain dumb. If you do you are asking for an infection. Pins are too cheap to risk ending up in the hospital.

I had to read some of these post twice :worried: I cant beleive what I'm hearing :p When you've got a red softball sized lump on your ass you'll be wishing that you spent that extra .10
